I do agree, monetising posts by engagement was the worst change I felt on the site. It’s also the most maximally echo chamber of a place I have seen besides Facebook.
Unfortunately it’s a leadership problem, which is waiting to face legal issues and then ((maybe)) things change bc they hit the bank.

Realistically, it would be something that affects *everyone* not just a subgroup (artists, minors). Evidently, user protection and actual laws haven’t justified a move. I really don’t see anything other than pay walling the website to stop users.
