Pokémon fans being hyped over having GBA ROMs sold to them for 30 bucks each - likely without any upgrades for online connectivity or whatever else you’d want - is a testament to the fact that Pokémon fans will buy literally anything, and the corpos know it. 💀

I've seen Koji Igarashi's comments on this, and it's evident that this is a major loss both professionally and personally for everyone involved in the prior development of Castlevania and Bloodstained. 💔 Shutaro's technical and design vision will be sorely missed.

Finding this out right after a new Castlevania game was announced - and finding out it happened BEFORE that game was announced - is heart-wrenching.

Rest in peace. We will enjoy Shutaro's work forever. o7

I predicted EE and MT doing a proper Castlevania game ages back when I read some dev commentary on Dead Cells: Return to Castlevania, will be interesting to see how this pans out.
