touhou and its fangames are my biggest source of inspiration for my own bullets and bullet patterns in my games. you can get REALLY creative with it
Ideally you want to have a lot of contrast between the background and game elements, so I think its good that the bullets look so striking in comparison. trees blend in pretty well but that might change based on where you wanna take this game
when the merch you want to buy only comes in short sleeves and its about to become cold season for 6 months
