I loved making my own internal BlueRetro mods for my Dreamcast and SNES. What a fun project. Iβm sure others will continue to refine and expand it, but I think you are leaving it in a great place. Itβs insanely feature complete and polished.

Thank you for all your work on this incredible project over the years. I was astonished when you fixed my weird edge case bug with the Napple Tale fan translation on Dreamcast. The entire retro gaming scene owes you a lot.
This looks fun as hell. Wishlisted!
Hey, weβve had some life stuff going on, nothing bad but Iβve been especially been crazy busy and I just havenβt had time for games lately, and Laura and Nate both just started new jobs. It does seem like our schedules are starting to cooperate more now though, so we should be back soon.
Neat, I played about half of this in VR and it was pretty good

Iβve been looking, since my kids are entering Mario Kart age and I have a Steam Deck but no operable Switch. Havenβt found one that seemed like a fit.
When and where will Clarice's Wedding Bell be available to purchase? I will pay whatever it takes to import it!

Holy shit! Never thought Iβd see the day! Thanks to everyone who worked on this.
Also one of the best audiobooks of all time. Specifically the 2004 version narrated by Simon Prebble. All time great performance by one of the best audiobook narrators in the business.
Itβs the desktop Linux of ereaders. Impenetrable and hard to recommend but arguably better than anything else out there, and it turns everyone who uses it into an insufferable evangelist.
I just made this quick video on how to add custom eink-friendly icons

The (low) number of people in the game industry that have played INDIKA is very apparent in all the awards shows I have been to this year. What the heck y'all
I use it a little, when I want to read scanlations from MangaDex or elsewhere. Itβs a good app. But most of the manga I read I download as CBZs and read using KOReader or CDisplayEX. All of them have settings you can change to make them work better on eink, like disabling animations.
Nope, KOReader runs on Android and a bunch of ereaders including hacked kindles and kobos but not on iOS. I originally used FBReader for the same reason but found I was never really reading on my phone and iPad anyway.
One more thing I forgot to mention here is that FBReader used MUCH more battery than KOReader if WiFi was enabled. Itβs syncing everything constantly with Google Drive, while KOReader only syncs like 2kb of progress data every 5 pages.
One more tip is that the Palma is almost exactly the same dimensions as the older 6.7β iPhones like the 15 Pro Max, so a lot of sleeve or bag style cases for that phone will fit, if you donβt keep a case on it.
Here are some of my favorite wallpapers, hopefully Bluesky wonβt destroy them too bad lol
3 cont) Map a gesture or button to bring up the eink center and mess around to get familiar. Settings are saved per app.
3) Yes, but what I set it to varies a ton per app. For paged reading apps like KOReader or most manga I use HD or Regal, high contrast on, default color filters. For less optimized apps I mostly use Ultrafast or Balanced and mess with the color filters till they look good.
2) I mostly just used Google Image Search and set it to look for black and white images. Depending on what youβre looking for, you can also Google βxyz line-artβ or even βxyz coloring book pagesβ. I think images with firm black lines on a white background look best.
1) Yes I used FBReader for months before switching to KOReader. They are both good. If you value a simple syncing experience and want to read on iOS as well, FBReader is a very good option. I switched mostly because I like the extreme customizeability of KOReader.
I have been LOOKING for a reason to upgrade my 2020 (I think?) iPad Pro but they keep making the Pros more expensive and Airs worse, and the whole line is less and less appealing.
@viticci.macstories.net has the hard truths here. At one time the iPad was my primary computing platform, but it hasnβt moved forward in a meaningful way in like 7 years and now it compares badly even with Chromebooks.
