What is this and why does it feel like musical notation of some kind?
Seeing y'all and @margin.at collaborate at such an early time that y'all look like coopetition at first glance but knowing just how wildly yall are going to rapidly differentiate in such different directions is a joy to watch and participate/benefit in.
Go on.... :D
This just reminded me of @inkandswitch.com's Project Cambria ideas: www.inkandswitch.com/cambria/
In this framing, bridgyfed becomes a means for backward compatibility as much as cross-compatibility.
I've had a hypothesis for a little while that atproto is the perfect protocol for prototyping new UX that can then be encoded into whichever other protocol best supports that UX later on. Like, prototype an experience, figure out what works, create the activitypub version for all its affordances.
Ugh. It's like the establishment went with the AI route of thinking about the future of computing instead of cybernetics, but then discovered that AI was more marketing then substance and are appropriating cybernetic concepts without the underlying frameworks.
This is why we can't have nice things.
For a second I was like, by hand? Like with a pencil? Or pen?! Bad. Ass.
Oh geez. This seems civilizationally important. I'm so glad yall are working this direction. Also seems like there's a lot you might be learning about that would be worth sharing? :D
I've been thinking about social media moderation so much I have no idea if games have similar or different needs.
@cosmik.network FYI, my xfinity content blocker is blocking cosmik.network
I didn't even know there was a content blocker until just now! It says you're sus, and no.
Visiting the page I'm getting Error code: SSL_ERROR_RX_RECORD_TOO_LONG
Not sure if that's on y'alls end or the blocker.
I wish railway was the new railway.
I upped my monthly donation to $50 from $25 yesterday. It only takes 35 people donating $50/mo to cover the cost of the whole stack, leaving addβl donations to help Rudy & team w/ all of the other projects they have on tap.
I *know* there are 34 people not donating who can afford $50/mo.
Letβs go!
Real harm should be named but movements lose themselves when carceral punishment replaces proportion, relationship, and real transformative justice.
βWith the regime already installing their anti-voter agenda, itβs critical we start organizing and preparing direct actions now to demand Hands Off Our Vote.β
βWe need to inoculate against the racial scapegoating of anti-voter forces and cultivate a committed, loud, and ongoing mass movement of people across all spectrums, activated to protect our freedom to vote and ensure the will of the people prevails.
βTraditional litigation and advocacy, while vital, are insufficient to counter the all-out assault on our elections and our freedom to vote. Defeating these attacks requires collective action at a scale to match the severity of the threat.
βThe regime now in office has us in whatβs known formally as competitive authoritarianism; the narrative and organizing strategies weβve used in the past to ensure votes can be cast and counted are no longer up to this task.
Free Our Feeds?
No.
Free From Feeds.

Also I love to see more cross protocol work happening. Rising tides can lift all boats.
Folks who want to have protocol wars can wade in and try to hold back the ocean.
Congrats to @thisismissem.social for the well deserved financial support.
She contributes across atproto and ActivityPub, & with the IETF OAuth standards.

Oh hell yeah! Congratulations! :D
He's here now. I hear.
You know where everything is. Geezus.
I still walk around like at any moment I might get attacked by puddies. I'm over 40.
The call may still come. I'm always ready.
Why are they like this?
Vouch! Yall are both awesome.
Lexicon documentation and governance though... we need documentation norms. I'd hate for an exponential explosion in undocumented lexicons to overwhelm the landscape if we can get documentation to be generated with it.
I'm not sure who builds these codegen sites or how but I imagine low hanging might be wrapping a cheap high performing model like the latest qwen in a Claude Code type environment with an atprotated interface. I could see this being hosted with/behind a pds with a file server sidecar for deployment.
