New Kentucky voters showing an increased aversion to both major political parties
New voters registering in Kentucky are continuing to lean away from the two major parties, a trend that's been become the norm over the past year.
According to Sec. of State Michael Adams, there were 2,606 new net registrations in February. Close to two-thirds chose to identify as Independent or other third party affiliations.

Opposition surges against bill limiting KY utility case intervenors
A GOP-sponsored bill to remake Kentuckyβs utility regulator is getting some pushback.
Senate Bill 8 would expand the Public Service Commission board from three members to five and give the Republican state auditor the authority to make two of the appointments. The governor would continue to appoint the other three.
