The hottest club in New York is all the people from New Jersey screaming about congestion pricing on Nextdoor
I took a short yellow cab trip today within the CBD. Even with the new 75 cent toll fee, it cost $4 less and took half as long as the same trip a month ago (since slow traffic usually causes the meter to go up).
i think rage at congestion pricing is a good example of how no one believes that the world can be positive sum anymore. like, people pay a small fee to get access to a faster commute — saving them valuable time — and the money improves public transit, saving other people valuable time. it's win-win!
Oh, like the M1, 2, 3, and 4? Yup, all of those.
I think they took the monorail.
I live on East 59th, and if it is the exercise studio I think it is, it is technically on the UES side of the street!

It’s two blocks from East 61st to East 59th. (If it is the exercise studio I think it is, it is right next door to my apartment, so this is a huge win for me, getting one less car on my block!)
I attended a Broadway matinee today. Despite the scourge of congestion pricing, somehow the show managed to sell every last ticket.
And only because until now it didn’t have a toll!
