It's now like the third time I've seen another woman I follow on the internet with tears in her eyes because she's been "undressed" by Grok. Deepfakes have always been beyond unacceptable, but it's well and truly gotten out of hand recently. If you still use Twitter, this is what you endorse.

I'm fully aware there is historical precedent for nations recovering from fascist regimes, but now we also have the internet and its various echo chambers to contend with.

I worry that the game has changed significantly. I also worry that today's systems of power are much more complex.

How does a nation recover from the fact that a significant number of its constituents will proudly endorse fascism?

Let's say Trump somehow fucks up badly enough that he loses his support. That's still not an indictment of fascism, they'll just endorse a new fascist that they like more.
