Not sure but it looks like they are getting on well with the timber fence. You can still get to channel hide and access the Aird meadow trail via temp routes. Reserve staff should be able to give you more information

Days birding started with Hume’s Warbler at Lowestoft, mostly high up in pine but got good but brief views in hedge, nice, over 20 since my last. Did bit of birding around Horsey before heading to to Hull see family in with 3 mile detour to way to see GGShirke.

Cracking full days birding along the Suffolk coast. Lots of good birds seen today include the Zitting Cisticola, 4 shorelarks, woodlarks, dartford warblers, spotted redshank, bittern, bearded tits etc. also my first adder and butterfly of the year. Walked miles mostly on shingle beaches

Birded the Blackstoun Farm rhubarb fields this morning 2 brambling among 280+ chaffinch.

Then visited the reservoirs at Dams to Darnley, L. Egret on Balgray, at Littleton a stunning Drake scaup and 2 pochard

Spend a couple of hours birding Ardmore and Clyde coast today. Highlights lovely views of pintail, peregrine perched in its usual tree, 8+ Slavonian grebes, 3 RT divers, American wigeon x Eurasian wigeon hybrid and Norwegian ringed Bar-tailed godwit plus all the usual stuff #birdingscotland

Birded my Lochwinnoch patch first thing (curlew added to patch year list). Then went to Blackstoun Farm rhubarb fields, large flock of skylarks, chaffinch and linnets, but highlight was a single twite and 2 brambling

Morning off work allowed me to bird my Lochwinnoch patch first thing. Jay added to patch year list. Patch 99% frozen with only two small patches of open water . Highlights a single Drake scaup and shoveler with c300 duck and c600 geese and all the usual suspects.

Post work 90 minutes checking Gulls at Strathclyde park - bitterly cold, had hoped for a white-winged gull or something good, but sadly not to be. Highlight was a Norwegian ringed common gull (from Bergen) and 3 Clyde colour ringed BH Gulls
