Years ago I shared a house in Milton Keynes with a lady that several wardrobes full of blouses. She would regularly fall asleep on the train home from London, miss the stop and awake somewhere north. Wait for the first train back to London in the morning buy a new blouse and go to work !

We are surrounded by radio waves but can’t hear anything without a receiver to tune into a specific frequency. Radios use a crystal as a reference to tune into a specific frequency. Maybe you just happen to be attuned to a frequency that is particularly useful?

We are meant to feel more content when we can see a natural source of food and water from our home. Think I am settling on costal as well, or at least with a stream or lake. Happy hermit home hunting 🐚
Dogs could certainly be a large part of the answer, feeling the call to explore some of the Scottish islands this summer. Do you think you are a forest, mountain, or costal hermit?
As responsibilities fade away and the possibility of becoming a hermit comes close, there is another question. Are our experiences real if not shared? Or at least do we need some way to calibrate our thoughts with another?
