There's also the fact that some of these were the last engines built out of Wolverhampton Railway Works, and one of them (No4507) was both a R&SBR Engine and the last Wolverhampton-built engine in service on British Railways.

Could make for an interesting unresolved grudge for them to carry over onto Sodor. They get along with all of the other engines just swimmingly, but treats Duck with incredible suspicion for being so loyal to a railway that they felt wanted nothing to do with them.

A couple were sent over to work on the Rhondda & Swansea Bay Railway before the Grouping, so having an engine who's always been seen as "No True Great Westerner" because they worked for a subsidiary railway of GWR could easily make them hate the old company.

Type 1 being done away with. Three frames down but at least have an idea for the length of the wharf carriage & wagon workshop!
*Just a side note that lambing has begun so for the next 9 weeks it'll be difficult to keep up with replies, particularly ones involving cross-referencing multiple sources.

It's #wagonweds!
Wasn't satisfied with the Skarloey Railway workmen coaches being single compartments so decreeing the ones vaguely seen in Very Old Engines are wagons with removable benches/planks and these six Model Engineers Laser freelances are the upgrades similar to the Ffestiniog

I've spent all day designing replacement axles for the locomotive and now they are working. The BR black J72 was dead on arrival and now, with a service and new axles, it's running great! These axles are also available FOR FREE on my #Cults3D page if you are interested:

A 3D render of my Turbomotive locomotive body shell, in Blender. Has similar proportions and design to a Princess class locomotive, of which I used a Triang model as reference, but with encased Turbines fitted to the sides of the locomotive instead of cylinders and valve gear. The front of the smokebox is on full display with view of the left side of the engine right down to the firebox and cab. The number 6202 is present, as is correct for the one prototype of this class made.

A back view of the locomotive showing off the cab interior. The details of this model are heavily inspired on the detail from a Triang Princess class, of which the chassis for this body shell will come from. Therefore the details are simpler than on other models, so the model can comfortably sit next to an original Triang princess without looking out of place and by looking correct or the old chassis.

I wanted to show the progress with my Turbomotive replacement bodyshell. The design is almost there, it just needs some more details and then I can get it ready for printing. #modelrailway #3Ddesign #Blender

With the Turbomotive in the process of being printed, I've started work on the next body shell. This one is an English Electric GT3. In a previous post I said I was repairing a faulty B12 chassis to use for this project, now I think I have fixed it and it runs so much better. #modelrailway #3Ddesign

Picture of two J72 locomotives produced by Mainline. The one on the left is number 69023 in a North Eastern green livery, and is almost pristine. While the right one is in a black British Railways livery, and is in need of a clean. It is also missing a buffer.

I recently bought these two J72 locomotives. They're from mainline which is usually a bad sign as these suffer terribly from split axles (its a question of when not if) and yes after inspecting, all the axles have split. I serviced the left one and it runs fine with the dodgy axles, however...

Our range's gradual expansion of accurate pre-grouping wagon prototypes has been enhanced with some eastbound freight!

Our factory has sent us painted prototypes of the upcoming OO Gauge Great Eastern 5 & 7-Plank Open Wagons.

We expect them to arrive at the start of Q2.

It's also the first time I've seen one of my colourised photos as a jigsaw puzzle! This is now available in the TR shop: www.talyllynshop.co.uk/i_eshop?bi=T...

11. Trial and Error Trial and Error Written by DDandT6 Molly’s trial period on the Island of Sodor was coming to an end. When it was over, she was expected to choose whether she wanted to stay on the railway or return ...

Wrote this in late 2025, so not that long ago.

Molly’s trial is coming to an end, and she doesn’t really know what to do about it. Per Emily’s advice, instead of not thinking about it, she overthinks. She’s trying her best. docs.google.com/document/d/1...

#577 was in remarkably bad condition.
The scrappers told me we’d be better off building a new engine.
I’m glad I didn’t listen. Pitchi calls her the Iron Lady.
I think her number is good enough.

Found myself inspired by a RTR bash on Ebay…

A Lima 94XX on a Triang Princess chassis, fitted with Jinty wheels, all parts I have on hand…

I’ve subbed the old smokebox (which I didn’t have) for a Mainline Collett’s, already like 75% of the work done lol
