More Americans have died in the illegal undeclared Iran War than died during the Afghanistan withdrawal that was portrayed to the American public as a presidency-annulling catastrophe for Joe Biden.
10/ All of this was totally foreseeable. Frankly, it’s why previous presidents weren’t so stupid to start a war like this.
Trump has lost control of the war. His best course now is to cut his losses and end it. That’s the only way to prevent an even bigger disaster.
We are a nation of 349M, yet one man decided to launch our nation into a reckless, illegal war without congressional authorization or counsel or the support of the American people. He didn’t think he had any duty to sell it or serve the people’s interests. This is why despotic rule is so dangerous.
Say what you will about the NYT and so much contemptible reporting, but they were one of the few to say this in 2024.
1) Banning large investors from buying new SFHs and renting them out is dumb

I wrote my Senators Budd and Tillis (R-NC) to remind them that they swore an oath to uphold the Constitution. Disappointing but predictable that their Facebook posts parroted the Trump Administration’s line that the Iranian government was bad.

The American people do not want a war in Iran. The Congress did not authorize a war in Iran. It is an entirely illegitimate action that has no legal or constitutional basis. It is the act of a lawless regime.
