Yes, and now unfortunately homeowners are so wedded to the idea of their houses going up 5-10% a year that they resist sensible housing policy which would increase supply & lower demand. We're effectively stealing the future from young Australians. We need a shift in mindset as soon as possible.

Unfortunately, most people who own a house on the east coast of Australia are now effectively millionaires. That's the root of the problem. Housing is now so ridiculously inflated, if bought a house 40 years ago & paid it off, like me, it's become the main source of your wealth. Housing is a mess.

USA, are you getting those "he was like this during COVID" vibes, because I am? It's obvious that in a crises,Trump is vague, inarticulate, indecisive & incapable of telling the American people the truth. It's a mystery to me why you decided to give him a second chance to prove his incompetence.

Trump's determination to establish his reputation of exceptionality & superiority rarely accommodates self-reflection or truth. In his mind, he's always stronger, bolder & more decisive than any other leader in world history. Unfortunately only his deluded supporters believe his lies.

Here in Australia, our elections are always held on a Saturday. It's not a public holiday but it's a weekend so it makes it so much easier. Because everyone is required to register to vote at 18 and we have compulsory voting we also have early, absentee and postal voting. Last election 90.7% voted.

Yes Canavan is a serious downgrade from Littleproud & even from Barnaby. He's a fossil fuel loving, revisionist with zero clue for developing the innovative policies needed to create a modern Australian nation. He is guaranteed to want to be the tail wagging the LNP dog.

From Australia, I second that emotion, Lorrie! Trump is incompetent, repellent & corrupt. We all be lucky if we survive his awful regime.

For Alan Kohler AI just became personal | ABC NEWS YouTube video by ABC News (Australia)

Alan Kohler was on ABC a couple of weeks ago talking about this and how disturbing it was that his image had been harvested for an AI "news item" and used to create a fake story. He found the whole thing pretty disturbing.

People who were intimately acquainted with Epstein, including his lawyer & brother, have said that they visited him in prison and Epstein was confident he could avoid serious conviction. It begs the question- why would he suicide? Who benefits? Perhaps the POTUS who knew he had the dirt.

Happy to help. A quick Google search gave me that information. It's a pity Eric obviously can't spell.

Do the Trump adjacent crew do the slightest bit of research before they open their mouths? Obviously not. Mojtaba Khamenei is deeply connected to the Iranian Revolutionary Guard, is a senior cleric and an astute political operative. I
I don't think Eric is in any position to suggest he is nepo baby.

Perhaps the fuck up started in 2016 where a very smart woman who won the popular vote, lost the electoral College. It seems that people made the right choice but the system gave you Trump. If he lost back then, the USA would be a very different country today & the world would be a better place.

I'll bet he was getting the chop. Opposing net zero so there's been a slower renewable transition is not something to brag about right now when we're about to have a fuel crisis & as for killing The Voice, that was an unprincipled act driven by pure political self-interest. Nothing to be proud of.

That's seriously stupid. We're losing the plot aren't we?

10.03.2026 03:58 πŸ‘ 0 πŸ” 0 πŸ’¬ 0 πŸ“Œ 0

Exactly but that was before Trump & his family were really aware how much money could be made in the Middle East if he could only eliminate those pesky populations trying to assert their own sovereignty. Now he'll support their subjiat any cost.

He's not smart enough to realise that accepting a position in the Trump administration was the worst political move he could make for his own career. If he doesn't do what Trump wants, he'll be sacked & if he does, he's potentially committing war crimes. Dumb move Marco.

Brilliant! I think there are similar lyrics in John Farnham's song "That's Freedom".
"From the mountain to the valley
From the ocean to the alley
From the highway to the river
One emotion to deliver
One heart
One way
One love
To share but not to chain."
We're not going to censor that, are we?

You don't know me or my behaviour so aren't you just stereotyping all fair skinned people & suggesting we are all aggressive towards people from different backgrounds. You are entitled to your opinion but I respectfully disagree.

Australia has 300 different ethnicities including indigenous Australians & 100 different religions. I'd call that pretty diverse.

If you can't understand that sentiment & want to politicise it, I can't do anything about that. The Australian community has 300 ethnicities & 100 religions. We are inclusive & welcoming country & public schools are a big part of that. I'm proud I was a small part of making kids feel at home here.

I don't want to pick a fight with you over semantics but I spent my entire working life as a public school teacher in Australia educating students from diverse backgrounds including indigenous students. I didn't see their colour, ethnicity or religion because they were all just my kids.

I still live in Australia but take a big interest in US politics because it's an unbelievable mess right now & what happens for you guys affects everyone. I do hope you can recover from the Trump death spiral. Good luck to you all.
