Fingers crossed he stays that way.

Looks like I forgot to charge my tablet, so no comics for me today...
My only issue with digital.
Because she wasn't.
Also Kitty: Charles Xavier wants us to set up tents.
Who cares what noted (by Kitty) jerk Xavier wants he fucked of to space with his bird girlfriend
Was she? That's not how I read that line. But that line in general felt weird and out of place.
I hate FtA Rogue outside of Uncanny. In that book she's fine.
I read her as 20/21 latest, which would still be an acceptable age difference.
We're not talking Archangel and Husk for example
Also as the youngest of Generation Hope (Academy X cohort for simplicity) shed fall at ~17 using this method, making her and Ransom perfectly fine.
16/17 falls in the +/- 3 years.
I would put them:
Deathdream ~14
Jitter ~15
Calico ~16
Ransom ~18
Why is Peter broke? He would make a killing on onlyfans with that ass.
Yeah this is broad strokes.
I can read Kitty as late 20's, but Beast? No way he has all those degrees an what not and he's not even 30.
My current head cannon is
(All ages +/- 3 years)
OG/All New: 35
New Mutants: 30
Gen X: 25
Academy X: 20
Exceptional/Outliers: 15

It's made worse by the uneven application of aging. Prodigy is faculty, but Sophie's a sophomore? Wolf Cub and Dryad are still teens though?
The students of that era have really been screwed

The book also feels very unfocused trying to be a student book and X-Men Team-Up in the diaspora era.
Ultimately it's a lot of great moments assembled on a very shaky nonsensical foundation

As a matter of fact I thought the emotional beats of the story were great with a few exceptions. It's just the logistics of things like who's a 2X or not. Or Emma and Kitty, QC members, thinking Sinister's stuff is perfectly fine to use.

In all seriousness I did enjoy the part of X-Men United focused on the Exceptional kids recruiting the new student. And while not a fan of Cyclops' characterization or the very obviously bad idea of using Sinister tech, I also thought the "adult" story was pretty solid.

Rift is another great example. In universe he's been at this like 3 weeks tops, since he manifested powers in the last arc of Exceptional. We the readers saw him AoR, but that wasn't this Rift. So why is he above Wolf Cub who has served on actual missions?
This is a larger issue of the first, well issue: I'm not sure what this book is trying to be. Is it a school book focused on students, is it a team book? Like there are 2 or 3 different plotlines that don't feel like the same book
Laura in also an especially weird case sense because genetically engineered living weapon. I have no issue with her as a combat teacher, but as someone who read Academy X, it's really odd.
Also Dryad was one of Scott's kids. She knows how to guard
There's been a lot of discourse on X-Men United, but I haven't seen* it's greatest sin mentioned: no Outliers, Deathdream specifically.
*I also forgot to mention it in my own thread
More Hotaro is always appreciated
Dryad was at the school before Laura made the jump to comics, but Laura is a full fledged teacher. Like field experience, sure, but it just highlights this weird imbalance.
To be fair there are a lot of Summers to keep track of.
Christopher is thier dad. Vulcan is Gabriel.
Using sinister tech is a bad idea. Letting a sinister clone of Lockheed on the team is an even worse idea. βLetting the mental danger room hurt you in real life like this is nightmare on elm street is just weird
AoA hasn't happened yet, still have to go through Phalanx Covenant

Hello Lockheed!
Um, hello Marigold?

Yeah Dryad was a student before you Laura.
