i've been encouraged more than once to merge interests and while yes i have considered an f1 au for the nightfarers i also had to immediately abandon the idea as i couldn't commit to putting wylder on any team aside from ferrari because. well. points at my hat.

ik to my friends who don't go here it's like "oh! it sure does flip" and i can assure you that this is considered not only very flashy as a new tech for one of these vehicles, but offers a lot of form and function. it's brilliant engineering!

iirc the ferrari gains approx. 9-10 mph on the straightaways with the macarena wing. a slight amount of lift gives them a good little push. this is absolutely a good thing to put on their car for that huge straightaway on the back at the grand prix in shanghai.

honestly nothing illustrates fandom’s shortcomings like a post that goes “hey guys quick tip for fic writers :) this is how dialogue tags work” with a friendly tone and no particular fic pointed at generating days of discourse involving people acting like grammar tips are mean and an attack on them

when you reach the point where neutral grammar advice is too great a criticism for you to withstand and it makes you aggrieved and angry you are just…reactionary. being opposed to even the gentlest of implied criticism will lead you nowhere good. that is, to be frank, the conservative ethos

i'm the opposite of possessive about my likes/ships. everyone should love my faves and put them in situations NOW

if you can't handle a POV style that's a you problem. POV is chosen to serve narrative purpose, not to appease readers.

you can choose a bad POV for the story you're trying to tell. not every story works well or serves a good purpose in 1st person, or even 3rd person. hell, Gatsby is 1st person peripheral, which is an insane POV style to write and requires a skillful hand. even romance is not always "best" in 1st.
