I don't need any more tech that causes "disruptions" or "moves fast and breaks things". I just want to live my life without daily chaos. If you could throw in some affordable healthcare like #medicareforall that would be cool too.

Bonkers, right? Definitely not one for everyone.

I enjoyed it immensely. I thought it was an excellent satire of our society's never ending conspiracy theories, socioeconomic problems and paranoia. Stone and Plemons knocked it out of the park. IMHO.

Was it just too weird for you?

How some skills become second nature Patterns of gaze and attention can reveal how some people unconsciously figure out how to master a task, MIT researchers have shown.

Today's #goodnews post is about tacit knowledge from time and experience. A team of engineers at MIT wondered: could an expert’s unconscious know-how be accessed, and even taught, to quickly bring a novice up to an expert’s level?

Have a good day Bluesky friends.

Was there an intended purpose for this speech today or did he just need a place to drop some verbal diarrhea and feed off the energy of the rubes?

On top of being evil and stupid, he is just so boring. Nothing but the campaign garbage on a loop. I guess that's the dementia talking. It's all he knows.

I wonder what it would be like to live in a world where we try to lift everyone's intelligence level rather than dumbing everything down.

Saw Bugonia a few weeks ago. I won't talk about it to avoid spoilers except to say that I always enjoy Jesse Plemons work.

Started reading some sci-fi books again this year to get myself off the misery machine. Just finished book 1 in the Dungeon Crawler Carl series. What a fun and wild ride. Diving into book 2 right away.

Pluralistic: Billionaires are a danger to themselves and (especially) us (09 Mar 2026) – Pluralistic: Daily links from Cory Doctorow

Wow. Please take 10 minutes and read this one by one of my favorite authors: @doctorow.pluralistic.net.

Cory is the one who popularized the word "enshittification" and now he brings us "morbidly wealthy". I'd like to see that one become mainstream too.

Excellent read

You may think getting older means decline but that's not always the case as you'll find out in today's #goodnews post. It's possible that your own perceptions of aging stereotypes play a huge role.
