I had to take a break from all horror and non-wholesome content some years back, due to a death in the family. I don’t regret taking the time away from it, regardless of how much I love the genre :)
Ain’t nothing wrong with waiting until you’re in the right headspace. Better to wait and get a good experience out of it, than to rush it and get negative feelings associated with it.
I’m still playing Resident Evil Village in teeny tiny chunks, but I truly appreciate moments like this cutting the dramatic tension.

I was reminded today of this air vent transformed into R2D2 in Prague that I saw 8 years ago. I always check Atlas Obscura when I travel somewhere, so I can find neat things like this :D

I'd think it's more the "staying focused for the runtime" that's an issue tbh. We've only watched a few full length films with my son (7), most of the animated.
He was into Jurassic World, but hasn't really been interested in seeing more :P

I tried playing the ShantyTown demo because it looks nice and cozy, but the controller inputs weren't working.
I'll try it again later with keyboard and mouse, I guess.

I also had to try out People of Note. It's a turn-based RPG that's also a musical. I enjoyed both the gameplay, music, and the character designs. The overall aesthetic is very pleasant to look at, and it's filled with background jokes and puns :D

I also tried out Sledding Game. I'm not necessarily super interested in the voice chat aspect of this, though it seemed pretty chill.
I loved being able to be a tiny chonky penguin in a hat, sledding down a mountain, though. I could definitely see this be my chill palate cleanser!
