R2 of Runnymede Rumble vs Lee's dwarfs in Sweltering Heat! (great for me). He scores easily on T5 but I equalise before half time. With the heat and 2 cas from Rumbelow I can wander down the pitch vs his 7 dwarves for the 2-1 win. 2-3 cas. #bloodbowl
R1 of Runnymede Rumble vs Primhak's OWA. 1st half he wrecks my team and my 1TTD attempt fails. 2nd half I do many 5+ dodges from DT to score on T7. On his 2-turner, he cages in my half but a halfling toss takes out the ball carrier and other scoring threat, securing the 1-1 draw. 1-9 cas! #bloodbowl

Well, we won 2-1 after scoring twice in the first half, so that's a great result. I was down to 7 players after my first 4 turns but a bretonnian pastry and passing all 3 other KOs worked very nicely. I have an MMG saurus and didn't learn any new skills, but I did hire an apothecary. #bloodbowl
I have my second game in the local #bloodbowl league tonight vs Orcs, for whom a big'un has learnt Block and a troll Guard. We now have 1 block on a saurus but still only 1 reroll and no apothecary. Hopefully we come though without too much damage!

A muddy #parkrun this morning; pleased with myself that I ran all the way round for the first time this year. Not a good time though (40.01 min): a minute slower than last time when I walked some of it! Need to run faster I guess!
At #boardgames night this week, 4 investigators went to Hollywood in Film Fatale for #ArkhamHorrorTCG. I was Tony Morgan, the bounty hunter. We had a look around, but the gothic horror film set was quite, arguably too, realistic. We couldn't beat the vampire countess and lost! Fun scenario.

Game 3 of CCCG vs CaptainFalcon's Khorne. He received but a solid defense put him in trouble and I turned him over to lead 1-0 at half time. 2nd half he rolled a Charge! but it was disastrous because his bloodspawn killed himself on it. Ended 3-0 to me. #bloodbowl

Game 2 of CCCG vs Inderol's skaven. He receives and scores T3. I drive back and score but lose players and I'm down to 8 to start the 2nd half. A Charge! puts me in big trouble and he's able to turn me over to score. I lose 2-1 to some top ratting by Joe. #bloodbowl
Game 1 of CCCG vs JKaen's Wood Elves. A difficult matchup and he out cas'd me 4-1, but I get a 2-0 win thanks to (a) a skink dodge into a sideline cage to surf the ball carrier and (b) a Saurus interception in the 2nd half after the elves extracted the ball. Well done the big lad! #bloodbowl
Sadly this whole team is plagued by bad 3D print lines, as can be seen on these minis. It's what has stopped me buying any more 3D prints from Etsy, since this isn't the first poor print I've had. Just getting GW / punga / greebo minis from now on.
A small local #bloodbowl tournament tomorrow at the same shop I play in the league. I'm playing lizardmen to keep in the 🦎 mindset. I've taken 5 block saurus, krox, chameleon, 11 players, apothecary and a mascot. I painted up an apo and mascot for it too.
The first #bloodbowl league game was a fun game vs Brets. His dauntless was useful but a crucial skull meant that I stopped his drive. 2nd half I was a few players up and won 2-0. I got 2 cas on Saurus, one of whom also was named MVP and learned block.
Our new #bloodbowl league has started and I have my first game tomorrow. I've chosen Lizardmen and have gone for the 1 reroll, all the big guys, 3 skinks and a chameleon build. Ill need to get leader on the chameleon ASAP, and also buy an apothecary. Oh, and block on saurus too. First game vs Brets.
At #boardgames night we played Fjords, which ended in a 3-way tie. But not in a good way - it felt like we all did reasonable actions to give us about a point per turn and the tie didn't seem that unexpected. But we finished with a favourite: Cartographers, this time with the islands expansion.
I read in and joined naf_race.csv, naf_tournament.csv and naf_game.csv, filtered to BB2025 by naf_variantsid == 15, then asked Gemini to write some python to convert the game results into race win%, making sure it counts a draw as half a win.

And OWA are the second most popular team. Few races have a winning record against them. #bloodbowl
A quirk of a low sample size: In the 3 months of #bloodbowl 3rd season edition, the most popular played race was Orcs. And they're pretty good, having the 5th highest win-rate. The best team *against* Orcs has been .... Halflings!
A nice #parkrun this morning. Lots of woodchip down and some football matches to see on the way round. Slight improvement over last week at 39.03 min. Want to get back to running the whole distance like I did last year.

I've always thought norse were a bit rubbish, but I didn't expect they'd be worse than halfings! I expect they will recover when more people feel brave enough to take elves again, maybe when the high elves are released.
Got back to #parkrun today after many weeks of bad weather and kids football getting in the way. A little rusty though, and I had to walk some of the second lap. Still enjoyed getting out in the sunshine though. 39.08 min, for 239/291 runners.
