Despite the progress, there's much more work to do – in understanding cancer at a cellular and molecular level through to clinical trials of new and emerging treatments.

Our scientists are continuing to work each day to discover new and better ways to diagnose and treat all forms of cancer.

Over a decade of abiraterone: the drug that revolutionised advanced prostate cancer care This Prostate Cancer Awareness Month, we’re celebrating over 10 years since abiraterone was first recommended by NICE in England as a treatment for advanced prostate cancer.

At the ICR, we discover more prototype cancer drugs than any other academic institution in the world.

One drug we discovered, abiraterone, has helped to give thousands of men with advanced #ProstateCancer, many more years with their loved ones.
