I don't know if that would actually make the game better/worse but it would certainly fix a personal bugbear. I'd also stop warmachines benefitting from obscuring because there are only so many screaming bells i can see .5" away from a small place of power that are apparently invisible 🤯
I'd change it so that units within a regiment have to deploy within 3" of 2 other units in their regiment or within 3" of the regiment's hero or basically anything in this vein that means you drop each regiment in an area of the battlefield together rather than piecemeal all over the place.

This is our third time running a narrative. Its been roughly once every nine months or so between them. They've gone down well so you should enjoy it but you're also welcome to pop down and just have a look and talk to people 👍

The game is still played with the usual phases/rounds and almost 100% of the rules (we've removed manifestations etc) and unlike matched play the games are not all symmetrical so you may have an upper/lower hand for some. Ultimately the intention is to tell stories on the tabletop and have fun.
Great question, our narrative has an over-arching story and related tasks happening throughout the weekend along with custom battleplans that reflect a part of the location. Players will also bring lists which may be themed or have their own stories (sometimes their own rules).
