Exciting news for 'Gnomes'! This was such a pleasure to script consult on for Screen Invaders/2Jons & can't wait to see those scripts brought to life by Matthias Hoene, Joel Kohn & Sian Davies.

Half my job at the video store was repairing INCREDIBLY scratched dvds hired out by fully grown adults.
Like competing Cinderella, Snow White and Pinocchio projects beforeβ¦ there are two βyoung Stalinβ projects at Cannes this year β he obviously just entered the public domain.
His first English language* film! (*also in Norweigan and Romanian). It was quite like Anatomy of a Fall in tone and I think it will do well, particularly with that casting.
This was an excellent script & I loved Mungiuβs RMN so very much looking forward to this!

Iβve just finished another of her short stories collections β quite unsettling!
Itβs a particularly good (though quite grim) episode! Iβll be writing to my MP because of it.
We already have 65% of our total budget and hitting out Β£8k goal on the crowdfunder will see us through Post-production and festival entry. Any support you can give to Each a Fire is greatly appreciated! ππ₯πΉ
The past 4 months I've been producing a short: an ambitious period film that transforms into a cosmic horror, about the things we put our faith into. I'm excited to see Director Luke David Sims' vision come to life & we've launched a crowdfunder. #filmskyuk #scriptskyuk greenlit.com/project/each...
Yes, Pete, we missed having you there! Would be great to see you next time βΊοΈ

KoH Directorβs Cut is one of my favourites! Napoleon isnβt anywhere near that lush and creative but has some nice added depth and integrity in longer form that for me make it one of his best late works (though still a tad plodding).
Also this longer version of Napoleon makes me wonder what else the longer Gladiator II (also David Scarpa) contains!
Haha yeah I totally missed that in the theatrical but laughed when I saw it this time around. Itβs a canonical Aussie bit that we very much appreciate π
I donβt think I was quite convinced that was what they were doing before I saw the longer cut π Phoenixβs buffoonery does get a little lost in the longer running time.
I have FIVE spaces left for the January groupβ¦
Honestly this is the best thing Iβve ever done!

I think this is spot on, thereβs a real impatience for traditional style politics driven by everything being turned into a graphic or meme. It makes politics into a hamster wheel where there has to be a constant roll out of updates for consumption.
A poster for Ridley Scott's Napoleon "The Director's Cut". It shows a picture of Joaquin Phoenix as Napoleon, dressed in his customary bicorn hat, jacket unbuttoned and jauntily slouched over a chair, a scowl on his face.
Now Watching: Napoleon: Apple Cut
Unsurprisingly, restoring a large number of the interpersonal scenes between Napoleon & Josephine render this a much more coherent and compelling film. The hinted at themes (impotence) of the theatrical cut become text here and it's so much more interesting for it.
