I've seen similar opinions, it's quite cool that they're successfully catering to fans of both styles though. Can't wait to play it eventually 😊

I try not to be so sentimentally reflective in a personal kind of way, but I hope this gives a sense of hope to anyone who might have come from a similar background. Even if it doesn't work out with the ones closest to you, you owe it to yourself to feel free and loved, and love whoever you want to.

Despite all of our differences, they have grown to be so supportive of me regardless of who I am and what I choose to do. I can proudly say that my parents and I have never been closer.

Our 'first talk' involved plenty of distress and disappointment, but they eventually came around to it over the years. After all, they'd been in the UK my entire life, so they weren't strangers to adapting to more liberal Western ideologies. This was one of their biggest hurdles, and mine too.

When I met Rob I decided I couldn't do this anymore. I wanted him to be a part of my life, fully unrestrained, without the guilt of excluding him whenever I 'needed' to. I didn't want him to be a secret. I was ready for the fallout with my parents if it came down to it.

I'd had relationships before this time, but a lot of it was done in secrecy and my male partners were always just 'friends'. Even though I'm sure they had an inkling, it was one of those 'don't ask don't tell' situations.

I came out 12 years ago today, maybe more later in life than some, due to my parents coming from a more conservative background with the expectations of having a traditional heteronormative family.

Where does it fall in terms of series ranking for you? Is it better than everyone's beloved RE4?

Try a monitor arm! When I got my monitor I found that the base just took up too much space the the height adjustment wasn't adequate enough. The arm fixed both those issues.

At the same time, if you're not as much into Pokémon or social sim stuff, there's plenty here in the way of crafting mechanics that feels genuinely rewarding if you want to deeply obsess over it. It scratches that itch from both sides.

Like you don't even have to build the most extravagant thing out there. You can simply just throw down some templates and be done with it if you just wanna get through the story and interact with all the cute Pokémon.
