Been working on learning acrylic painting in my free time. Had a few paintings this week not go my way, but this one from yesterday turned out pretty nicely. Had some real breakthroughs on brushwork and color blending during this session.

Finally got a proper light for arts and crafts sorta stuff. Been struggle bussing it with a little ikea desk light for years now and this thing is gonna be such a game changer. Dimmable, adjustable color temp, 2500 lumens. Was a little spendy but it'll be a game changer for these dark winters.

The future is just everything being really expensive and me shouting about a 3 minute timer and my pocket responding cheerfully.

Yeah having gone through a proper burnout a few years ago I’m a lot more mindful of this kinda stuff now. You can’t do your best work if you’re all out of juice. Gotta refill the well and take care of yourself.

Had an insane December and first week or so of January so I took the rest of this month off and have just been spending the time going on walks and practicing acrylic painting and playing guitar.

It's been pretty damn nice.

The misses and I are doing a spa day next week as well.
