can vouch, i was there and i only almost froze to death because i forgot to bring a sweatshirt
make friends with someone who uses one? 😅
yes, they did this in 2024 too. from my observations they just choose the letter grade that's most convenient; there doesn't seem to be any discernible formula they're applying to grade candidates based on the vote history/statements they compile
Stand With Crypto profile page Juliana Stratton Democratic Political Figure from Illinois Crypto letter grade of F Strongly against crypto Based on 1 statement and 0 votes. Vote History No recent votes. Statements Juliana Stratton @JulianaStratton x.com logo We have the momentum. Raja Krishnamoorthi and his allies know that, and it's why his MAGA-backed crypto bros are dumping $7 million into this race to try to stop me. The Coinbase-backed "Stand With Crypto" advocacy group has declared Illinois Senate candidate Juliana Stratton to be "strongly against crypto" solely because she made a statement criticizing the $5.5 million the crypto industry had already spent to oppose her
they have a couple different switch options so it would vary. i went with the Choc v1 Browns which are less clicky than the Cherry MX Blues on my ergodox (but i expected that)
yeah, i might just use it as a wired keyboard anyway since it won't ever leave my desk
i tried to learn dvorak in college. would not recommend
RSI fears me
peripheral designers really aren't using wood as often as they should
if there was a key there it'd be nearly impossible for me to reach. maybe if you had really big hands, but i'm guessing that's why
assembled. i don't think they sell kits
the ergodox was also ortholinear with thumb clusters so the transition shouldn't be too difficult, but the default layout on this one is a little different (thumb shift and modifier keys mostly)
it's super comfy, i think i'm going to love it
A dark grey MoErgo Glove80 with white keycaps. It's a split, ortholinear keyboard with concave keywells and thumb clusters
with great sadness i had to retire my trusty Ergodox Infinity, but: new keeb! expect typos as i learn how to type again
(MoErgo Glove80)
but hey on the bright side it uses a fuckton of energy!
The standard substitution ratio is 1 anchovy fillet to teaspoon of anchovy paste. For a stronger flavor, some recipes suggest using 1 teaspoon of paste for every 2 fillets. Because paste is highly concentrated and saltier, it is best for melting into sauces or stews. Reddit Reddit +4 Key Takeaways: Ratio: 1:0.5 (1 fillet = tsp paste). Alternative Ratio: 2 fillets = 1 tsp paste
how ever shall i choose which ratio to use

"This probably sounds like nightmare fuel to many, but to wealthy VCs and AI and crypto entrepreneurs it’s the next gold rush." is the quote of our time
What? Katie Porter received $10M in opposition from the crypto industry.
“Congress has not done its job on the legal safeguards,” Senator Slotkin, a Democrat from Michigan, told me. “There are a number of senators who’ve taken a look at this but there seems to be no will to move forward because No. 1, people don’t understand A.I., but because, No. 2, we’ve seen the entry of really big political money tied to A.I. Just like the crypto space, a lot of senators are scared to stick their neck out even though action is being demanded of us on this issue.”

Fascinating comment on AI regulation from Elissa Slotkin of all people, who received $10M — the second-most support — from crypto PACs in 2024.

Fairshake spending millions in MAGA-affiliated money to attack Stratton for taking $40K from people who also contributed to MAGA candidates echoes their 2024 strategy of spending millions to attack Katie Porter for taking $5K from "big pharma, big oil, and big bank executives"
Actually, spending $5.5M of shady money to lie about a candidate taking $40K of shady money. It's the anti-Stratton ads that are making that claim; I haven't yet been able to track down the pro-Kelly ad.
Always delighted to see journalists using @followthecrypto.org data in their reporting! If you're a journalist following campaign finance and run across crypto spending, I'm always happy to talk to you.
NEW: A $5.2 million attack ad. An industry advocacy group. Billionaire Trump donor Ben Horowitz.
In several Illinois primary races, they all connect to the crypto lobby, my analysis based on @followthecrypto.org found — and candidates may quietly be vying for its support.

* Coincidentally (not), some oppo was tossed over the transom yesterday… Stratton’s Campaign Took Nearly $40,000, Or 2% Of Her Fundraising, From MAGA & Trump Donors HIGHLIGHTS: Since announcing her bid for Senate, Juliana Stratton has lagged behind in fundraising but has managed to take in more than $40,000 from donors who have given generously to MAGA and Trump-aligned candidates, including donors to Trump himself. Stratton’s donors have given to a range of Trump-endorsed GOP candidates and MAGA extremists, ranging from now Trump Secretary of State Marco Rubio, January 6th inciter Josh Hawley, and Senator Ted Cruz. Stratton’s donors have also given to current GOP leadership, including both Speaker Mike Johnson and Senate Majority Leader John Thune. Three Stratton donors are mega MAGA donors and have given over $100,000 each to Republican candidates across the country. The “MAGA/Stratton” donor list is here. The list includes a solidly Democratic Statehouse lobbyist who’s made a couple of Republican contributions. Color me unconvinced. Another Stratton contributor on the list, Jason Marquis, has contributed to Illinois US Reps. Eric Sorensen, Nikki Budzinski and Brad Schneider. Ope.

The ad's claims that Stratton took MAGA money stems from this @capitolfax.bsky.social report, which treats it skeptically and identifies it as opposition research. The Chicago Sun-Times says it was specifically Krishnamoorthi's campaign's oppo.
capitolfax.com/2025/12/09/m...
Fairshake's anti-Stratton ads directly echo Krishnamoorthi's own attack ads with claims that she took money from MAGA donors and ICE contractors. It seems to me they're backing Kelly as a spoiler candidate.
