We killed 85 schoolgirls. We are not the good guys.

Washingtonโ€™s Corruption Has Created Another Humanitarian Crisis in Puerto Rico The islandโ€™s earthquakes are its latest man-made disaster.

If you didnโ€™t catch the significance of the exploding transformers in Bad Bunnyโ€™s halftime show, I gotcha. Hereโ€™s one of a bunch of pieces I wrote from/on Puerto Rico about the crisisโ€”and Trumpโ€™s role in it. slate.com/news-and-pol...

The more I think about it, the more Iโ€™m convinced the Democrats have to push their hand immediately. The parallels with the delays and subsequent failures after January 6th are blaring warning signs about what will happen if they donโ€™t go after the issues with ICE and CBP at the root RIGHT NOW.

Following the killing of AFGE Member Alex Pretti and the subsequent slanderous rhetoric that followed from top Trump administration officials, AFGE National President Everett Kelley issued the following statement:

โ€œYesterday, AFGE brought together labor and faith leaders from Minneapolis and across the nation to mourn our fallen brother from Local 3669, Alex Pretti. We honored his life and legacy and lifted up his family, his friends, his union, Minneapolis, and our nation in prayer.

โ€œToday, we demand accountability.

โ€œIn the immediate aftermath of Alexโ€™s killing, DHS Secretary Kristi Noem betrayed the public trust by slandering the good name of our union brother and calling him a โ€œdomestic terrorist.โ€ Alex Pretti was a patriotic ICU nurse at a VA hospital who devoted his life to serving Americaโ€™s veterans. That claim was reckless, defamatory, and unsupported by the facts. Noem was preceded in this false statement by Stephen Miller, Deputy White House Chief of Staff, who is also the architect of the chaotic and failed immigration policy in Minnesota.

โ€œOur demand is clear: Department of Homeland Security Secretary Kristi Noem, who was responsible for carrying out the policy that led to Alexโ€™s needless killing, and Deputy White House Chief of Staff Stephen Miller, the architect of that policy, must resign immediately. If they refuse, President Trump must dismiss them.

Isnโ€™t he injured? And if so, can we really afford that in this moment? In this window weโ€™re really looking for immediate impact, not long-term impact.

Thatโ€™s not what I said, just that weโ€™ll never know if any manager can handle Spurs if theyโ€™re never given time. Itโ€™s not really about him, itโ€™s about no one getting a proper chance.

I know Frank hasnโ€™t shown us any reason for thinking he can get more from this squad, but I think the more rational decision is to give him time. Otherwise the new manager will find himself in the same position in the same amount of time. #COYS

On Thomas Frank and Spurs destructive cycle of sacking managers, itโ€™s clear that managing Spurs is an enormous challenge. And how will we ever know if anyone can handle the job if they arenโ€™t given the time. Maybe every manager will struggle this way.

19.01.2026 19:11 ๐Ÿ‘ 1 ๐Ÿ” 0 ๐Ÿ’ฌ 1 ๐Ÿ“Œ 0

Letโ€™s just all enjoy the fact that a player chose Spurs over someone higher in the table. Itโ€™s so rare that this happens. And thereโ€™s so much trauma (football trauma, so not real) over losing players to other teams.

This feels SO MUCH like a Levy deal. As in, going after a player we failed to get in years ago, and going after them when they no longer are as good or wanted by other teams. Villa wanting him is something, I guess?

Another data set that makes me ask WHY such hate for Paulinha?! Heโ€™s not worse than any of our other midfielders and he is the best at tackles! And he occasionally scores

Iโ€™m curious to know how many goals have been scored against Spurs on the right vs left, vs centrally. It feels like more on right, but I have a terrible memory.

So I understand why people dislike Paulinha, but why focus on him when Bentancur is even worse? Iโ€™m borrowing this from someone elseโ€™s post:

Thank you for posting this. Iโ€™ve been so annoyed with the hate for Joao Paulina, when Bentancur seems even worse. This really backs that up.
