HMO gets approved! The Market Surgery will become yet another HMO. There is one already a few houses down which has just had the cellar made into another room or two? and just around the corner the old Market Chippy is an HMO? Not bothered about local concerns at all?

The problem is that the pipe that runs under the footpath from the Vic Pub that takes all gullies down to the park, then through the park to Pearl Brook has been capped and the rest of pipe removed? But it’s good to see after many years the prob being dealt with. Thanks👍

So it looks like the whole original pipe from where it’s been capped, to the fence at Pearl Ind estate has been removed? It would have flowed to Pearl Brook in the past, but instead, the contaminated water has flowed to ground through the blue ground drain contaminating a public park??

On top of the cutting was the answer to the many yrs flooding problem? A new plastic pipe attached to the old clay pipe, then capped and concreted with a metal pin in front. The blue ground drain attached to the plastic pipe is running against the flow??

This one pipe takes all the gullies from The Vic Pub to the park entrance. I had a look in the cutting, then noticed that in the excavated soil that there was no sign of the original old clay pipe?

Work is underway on the flooding problem at the Old Station Park CNR entrance. Having worked on Bolton Council main drainage for a number of years I had to have a look, and was quite amused at what I saw? 🧵

On my regular morning walk today I noticed that the council had repaired potholes opp The Bowling Green pub on Lee Lane, which is nice to see👍

Other News! From 14th Oct Lee Lane will be shut from Scholes Bank to Winter Hey Ln whilst they re-surface the road. #Horwich
