Latest data shows measles cases remain high Measles activity has increased since April 2025 and the UKHSA is continuing to oversee the public health risk assessment.

Decline in uptake in measles, mumps and rubella vaccination is resulting in nationwide outbreaks of measles disproportionately affecting children in disadvantaged areas.

Explore local parks and forests - Additionally, entry to all National Parks are free. 3. Participate in free workshops - e.g. Pets at Home workshops, IKEA’s Summer Funhouse. 4. Attend town festivals - e.g. Sheffield by the Seaside, Saltaire Festival, Notting Hill Carnival. 5. Head to an animal farm - e.g. Vauxhall City Farm, Bath City Farm, Graves Park Animal Farm. 6. Take a trip to the nearest beach - Swimming, sandcastles, picnics... If further inland, lakes have beaches too. 7. Have a picnic - Food can be bought or made at home and enjoyed on a blanket in the sun. 8. Visit local libraries - Libraries host activities like reading challenges throughout summer. 9.
