We’re increasingly raising a society incapable of any form of meaningful introspection so addicted to privilege where even a slight notion that they’re may be a need for effort, either physical, emotional or intellectual is breaking people’s brains.

The left isn’t “vacating the space” the messaging and the change just requires more work from all parties. The entire staple of the right wing grift is not taking any form of responsibility whatsoever and making your problems the result of everyone else’s actions.

While the men seem to be concerned about “not being able to get laid” any solution that’s requiring some sort of introspection and effort will always come in second to “well, it’s not your fault actually, society is just denying you your god given right to some coitus.”

The whole male loneliness epidemics discourse kind of misses the point. There is plenty of discourse and examples of how to be a decent member of society that are in direct counterpoint to the manosphere, but they require work. Whereas the right wing grift offers an easy solution.

I think the problem with Democratic response is the “we need a Democratic cool older brother” or the “left’s Joe Rogan” rather than healthy role models across the spectrum, like a Mr. Rogers. They’re trying to replicate a space people are MEANT to grow out of. It’s just podcasts stunt that growth.

I think a lot of inherent societal and communal issues we see today stem from the fact that people are not capable of celebrating others and thinking like a community. Everything is framed as being in competition with others as opposed to collaboration.

I honestly think one of the healthiest, most beautiful habits a person can have is to truly feel joy for someone else. Their happiness or success isn’t competition—it’s something to celebrate with them.
