I treated myself to a 4K 240hz OLED monitor with my first salary as a fullstack developer and it practically changed my whole development workflow. I can basically have 4 windows open in one workspace and it is literal perfection. I wish I went 4K way sooner!

There’s something wrong with me

I don't get it, how's anyone going to learn anything using GenAI? I've been coding for the better part of 2 years now, still never felt the need to ask GenAI for anything other than the occasional manual SQL query and docker compose template.

Now I understand why Hellwig was so against multiple language codebases. Working on a React frontend, Ruby and Rust backend, the pain is real. I understand that I'm also too dumb to understand Linux kernel on C, yet alone with Rust and C together.

Not a big fan of Zenva courses. They are not educative, they won't help you create your own stuff, they won't explain why they do x and y. If you want to copy-paste (badly) opinionated stuff it should work for you, otherwise it is a waste of your money and time.

On Windows I recommend WSL and VMWare Workstation Pro with a Linux VM.

Surely you do not mean doing actual dev work on Windows?
