This is also not great. We know Ford is corrupt and a liar. It's important that we are able to hold him accountable.

It really is. But as a reader, there is never "fast enough". Thank you for not being GRRM, I guess? ππ
@jessiemihalik.com I was all pleased after finishing Silver & Blood because I thought Roses & Stone was coming out very soon.
Then I went and checked your feed and βΒ WRONG βΒ I was misremembering the recent cover reveal. Not til December. π₯²
No one likes babies. Especially when they just show up uninvited. So imagine if one did that on a cruise ship in outer space? You don't have to; author Olivia Waite did the work for you. In this Q&A, Waite talks about her new #SciFi #mystery novel, "Nobody's Baby."

Not to mention the number of βdogsβ who could be actually be ancient Ottomans, taxidermied thylacines, slow-moving tortoises in the darknessβ¦
Pretty sure at one point eight dogs were mentioned, then in a subsequent chapter, seven dogs. The chaos and uncertainty is the charm at this point.
Not like anyone would blink an eye to return to the Belvedere and see another random dog just hanging out.
We have one of those in town. Real estate agent. Cherry on top is that she had the most cheap-ass pixelated wrap put on it and impressively managed to make it look even worse.
It's fun to see the reactions of middle-aged men at the pet store when 20-something lasses working there ask if they need help carrying out large bags of dog food.
As a Canadian, I can appreciate this boycott at a cellular level.
Both because they completely fucked up the expansion in this country, then just cut bait and left, and also because Canadians love few things more than a very, very long-term grudge. β€οΈ
Congratulations and happy pub day! Started it last night. God, I love those covers. π
The cover of A Ghastly Catastrophe is a bluish green with gold lettering and silhouette figures of a Victorian couple dancing with gold filigree flourishes and blossoms of devilβs trumpet
It is PUB DAY! Veronica Speedwellβs tenth adventure is in stores now. Huge thanks to everyone buzzing, posting, buying, and showing up for events. You are the best! π¦
I'm so sorry. That's a lot to juggle. Confident book people will Get It, though.
I knew theyβd loosened up citizenship requirements. I didnβt realized weβre talking 1755 loose. π€―
A dog who is running excitably towards me across some wet grass, having heard a rumour that for one week only I will do a cut, shampoo and blow dry for just Β£14.99.
THREAD.
A collection of excellent dogs I have met on my adventures in the British countryside.
You will find the all-important captions to the photos in the alt text.
It is high comedy how far up their legs go under the floof. π
I guess 1970 was the beginning of "the late 1900s"...
If anyone needs me, I will be crypt dust.
Cute, retro, slight bowling vibe. π€

I'm so excited to help @authoremmabarry.bsky.social reveal the cover to her next book, You, Me & The Conspiracy. As someone who has watched National Treasure too many times to count, I can't wait for this book to come out in November. Isn't the cover pretty? www.simonandschuster.com/books/You-Me...

And will someone think of the mafia? How's a prince/assassin/muscle supposed to live his best life under these wishy washy conditions?
Bet he didn't even commit any light crimes to get her attention/win her back/avenge her slightest inconvenience. Hmph.
The Running Man... as a rom-com.
Interesting to see so many people speed run learning how problematic hockey culture is (including many, many of its players) while still enjoying the game.
But hey, it'll also help folks understand how Canadians are so good at holding grudges for a long, long time. π
There were a lot of lesbians at the Brandi Carlile show last evening (unsurprisingly), and on the way to our seats we overheard part of a conversation among several women.
Woman 1: "Oh, no, we're married."
Woman 2: (With audible surprise and some horror) "To MEN???"
Still laughing...

May this go absolutely fucking nuclear.
