We’re sorry to hear about the trouble that you are experiencing adding value to your Clipper card. Muni Metro Clipper ticket vending machines, including those at the Salesforce Transit Center, no longer accept credit or debit cards because they use equipment that is out of date.

New unified transit design guides are a first for the Bay Area. These guides are intended to make it easier for riders to identify information and use transit by delivering information that is clear, predictable and consistent across service areas and county lines.
We delivered big for Muni, BART & other transit systems today & avoided big service cuts. Now we can focus on passing the Bay Area & SF transit funding measures in November & stabilizing the systems for the long run.

We served 152,028 trips. That is 46,678 more trips than last Saturday.
And 20% used our easy Tap and Ride payment.

BART riders are racking up passing yards this Super Bowl week!
We served 223,770 trips yesterday. That is about 17,000 more than last Thursday! 14.6% of those riders used Tap and Ride.

MTC, transit agencies and the Clipper contractor are working 24/7 to identify, isolate and solve these problems. Steady progress is being made, with more than 750,000 accounts successfully migrated to the new system. But a lot more work remains.
We sincerely apologize for the trouble you are experiencing. We are well aware that the ongoing transition to the next generation Clipper system is not performing as customers deserve and should expect. There are several unrelated problems, each of which requires a separate fix.
