Weβre sorry to hear about the trouble that you are experiencing adding value to your Clipper card. Muni Metro Clipper ticket vending machines, including those at the Salesforce Transit Center, no longer accept credit or debit cards because they use equipment that is out of date.

New unified transit design guides are a first for the Bay Area. These guides are intended to make it easier for riders to identify information and use transit by delivering information that is clear, predictable and consistent across service areas and county lines.
We delivered big for Muni, BART & other transit systems today & avoided big service cuts. Now we can focus on passing the Bay Area & SF transit funding measures in November & stabilizing the systems for the long run.
Today, @governor.ca.gov signed a $590M public transit loan. This is a major victory for our regionβs communities that depend on public transit, our economy and environment. I want to thank the Governor, my colleagues in the Legislature, and the advocates who made this possible.
Bay Area transit is essential to California's economy, workforce, and climate goals.
That's why I'm authorizing a $590 million loan to help stabilize Bay Area transit services as ridership continues to recover from the pandemic.
MTC is grateful to @gavinnewsom.bsky.social,
@scottwiener.bsky.social, @jessearreguin.bsky.social and the other members of the Bay Area legislative delegation for their support for Bay Area transit and the riders who rely on it. mtc.one/4rvgZea

You did the right thing by contacting the customer service center by phone. To reduce the unacceptable wait times, 10 new customer service agents are being added this week, with 10 more on the way. Service hours also are being extended. Your patience is appreciated. Thank you.
MTC, transit agencies and the Clipper contractor are working 24/7 to identify, isolate and solve these problems. Steady progress is being made, with more than 750,000 accounts successfully migrated to the new system. But a lot more work remains.
We sincerely apologize for the trouble you are experiencing. We are well aware that the ongoing transition to the next generation Clipper system is not performing as customers deserve and should expect. There are several unrelated problems, each of which requires a separate fix.
