I've been posting across Bluesky, Mastodon & Threads since the downfall of Twitter
I though the most likely drop in replacement would have been BlueSky but I'm honestly having a much better time over on Threads out of the three most recently

Small win for February - managed to finish my first book for the year and it was truly a great one to start with
Even better news - Iβm halfway through a second book on my new e-reader that I got 2 weeks ago
Shoutout to @eldweena.bsky.social for the post the inspired me to get back into reading

How software engineering goes sometimes:
- Pick up ticket
- Make small changes
- Doubt the changes are enough & panic because clearly you've missed something
- Get PR review...get told you did everything perfectly
- Happy

Even the Wall Street Journal has been radicalized into saying tax the billionaires.
Three plates of pancakes are arranged on a table, accompanied by syrup, drinks, and a cozy setting, celebrating Pancake Day.
Happy Pancake Day folks!
I knew Dishoom sold a cookbook online, but I didn't realise they had so much to sell now (including clothing!)
I'm very tempted by their (hilariously named) Chai Tee t-shirt

So...I might have made a...small impulse purchase last night π
I already have a feeling that Sonnet/Opus via Copilot + OpenCode might be a good combo for coding π
GitHub Copilot has been a great for trying out & testing different LLMs without having to setup accounts/API keys with each provider but I found it didn't integrate into other tools like Cline
Found a post saying Copilot supports OpenCode now so going to try this out

it was something I could just buy off a shelf instead of having to tinker with a Β£150 keyboard & risk breaking it in the process
I'd happily pay someone to do this for me - If there's anyone around London that's good at this sort of stuff let me know
A hand pressing a small rectangular black button near a compact aluminum Mac mini and a white-black mechanical keyboard on a wooden desk
As someone that primarily uses a mechanical keyboard with a macbook, I really need to figure out a way to add TouchID to my keyboard
I've seen these projects where people have managed to extract the TouchID module from an Apple Magic keyboard to make these stand-alone buttons but I wish...
Posts like this make me feel like I need to up my reading game this year π
I want to avoid collecting a ton of books and then never having time to read them
Going to get started with a book I've just started a day ago π

Also companies: "We're doing well financially...expect layoffs"
and companies wonder why employees aren't loyal anymore...
Hey, at least we have pizza parties!
So funny enough I donβt think affording one is the issue, I just donβt drive enough to really justify it. I think I average 50 miles A MONTH so itβs kinda overkill to get a EV. I already have an EV home charger so I was just thinking to make use of that
Iβm a hard no on Teslas now as well
I will accept this modest upgrade to the Airtags - I've been holding off getting a few more waiting for this upgrade...how if Apple could just release the new Apple TV already π

Honestly I just think it's such a strange decision to have remade the first game with so much attention to detail and then just completely drop the series again without bothering to remake the second and third game
It feels so incomplete!
I've managed to get a ride in a Polestar EV a few times now (a friend has one) and I'm trying very hard to not immediately search up how much they are online cause I'm very impressed with them (and found out you can connect them to Home Assistant π)
I was looking to do a speed upgrade as well π
I need to actually check what the model of my single stick of RAM is and then yes, buying a second stick of the same model could work very well (if prices have not already doubled since your reply)
A dilemma I have now...
My gaming PC has a single stick of RAM (16GB DDR4 2133MHz)
Given current RAM prices, I'm wondering if I should upgrade it 32GB 3200MHz now or later π€
I found a pair of sticks on Amazon for Β£200 but I could see on the price history it was Β£100 a few months ago π

Trading212 are working on a public API that for their S&S ISA! π
I might be mistaken but I don't think I know of any other S&S ISA provider that offers API access to ISAs
Not sure how SCA (Strong Customer Authentication) is being enforced here but I'm here for cool APIs!

Damnit Value, itβs 2026 now just release the new Steam Machine already, my wallet is ready!
This is the first time I've seen Martin Lewis talk this much in depth about index funds!
I'm hoping this leads to more people actually getting into investing long term
The S&S ISA is still a massively underutilised wealth generation tool
