As I stumble through noveling, I'm plagued by the diffs between screenplay writing & novel writing.
In novels, the order of the dialogue & description matters; in screenplays, well, it's just formatted one way. 👇

Amazon is evil - even if you trad publish (as I did with a kids picture book a few years ago), their 'cut' is criminal.

Mmm, it's grim - film cost is indeed mad. I spent 8 years working in London, building up gear for my prod co. I make my own stuff now and help others struggling with that cost, and I love it.

I guess self-pub is the same - if you're prepared to try.
Do you buy ISBNS & be the publisher too or KDP it

its worse in film making trust me
there are so many gamekeeps on the grift even getting on the radar of a film prod co is impossible
and you thoughts apply their too
I guess the answer is to find your way and not rely on others?

I guess they’re the 1 putting the money into publishing it, that’s a big cost, otherwise you’d have to bear yourself. you could go kdp root & self pub and then when you get a bigger following approach a trad publisher? there are different ways to publish finding right one for you is key I guess?
