The Trump memo is actually very confusing. The memo indicates that Social Security and Medicare benefits should not be impacted, nor should assistance that is provided directly to individuals… so SNAP and Medicaid are ok?
Currently there are no boil or do not drink notices for water in Santa Clarita but I don’t see how it would be safe as the #HughsFire burned right around the water treatment plant. Local water utilities, health departments, and fire departments are always criminally late to announce water issues 😡
If #KarenBass ‘s proposed mask ban last year had gone through, police would probably be using these fires as an opportunity to profile POC and other minorities just trying to protect themselves from wildfire pollutants
