Have you seen the Data Republican vs. Brad and everyone?
Not really. That one in SLC is almost always crowded.

Confined space. Land-Sea interface plus geographical features. Dust and clutter. All of that interferes with radar detection and functionality. And if you need to protect yourself and others against anti-ship cruise missiles or drones, then the radar environment will impact your ability to defend.
No lies detected
There is a large amount of criticism to be levied across the armed services (not just the Navy but I can also point to the Army and Air Force) about the situation. I cannot provide much more detail because I really like my job and have to safeguard information. But questions need to be asked.
I’m sure there are a shit ton of questions that need to be asked and ultimately answered. I know what I’ve been tasked to do with my job and I can tell you I will do it to my utmost ability. But criticism on this conflict should be directed to the people that made the decisions.
More questions:
- If they n did not contingency plan, who is at fault for that?
- Did CENTCOM request more resources, given the complexity of Iran (something that had been studied by War Colleges for decades) & what was the decision to support that request?
- What is the risk posture for US losses?
More questions:
- Did CENTCOM and the administration think Iran would not respond as it has, to include closing/mining the Strait of Hormuz (SoH)? I know ADM Brad Cooper. He has operated in the region for decades. Did he not advise/counsel about the SoH situation? Did the Joint Chiefs?
So questions need to be asked about a conflict against a country that is four times larger than Iraq.
- Did this administration really think this was going to be easy? The WMD excuse is used in both cases. But in comparison to population, size, military capability, and other factors Iran is harder.
