Not for nothing here, but in a decarbonized energy economy, the cost of everything doesn’t go up because of a war halfway around the world.

Passage is temporarily blocked in a body of water I otherwise haven’t heard of? The sun is still shining and the wind is still blowing here, so we have power.

A lot of the hand wringing over crossovers ignores that these things were essentially similar in form and function:

Yes and no. If in the US, you're living in a country which is the largest producer and exporter of methane gas in history. Our prices are somewhat influenced by the global market, but pipeline constraints mean there's a limit to how much can be exported now. So I'd expect less impact on prices

Just 20 years ago, coal produced over half the electricity in the United States while wind and solar produced only 1%. Last year, coal was only 16% of the mix with renewables at 24% and growing.

Never let anyone convince you that huge change can’t come quickly.

Most natural gas pipelines built in 2025 connect the South Central United States to supply - U.S. Energy Information Administration (EIA)

This is remarkable, but not surprising. If you see a gas well being dug, or a pipeline being built in America it isnt being built for you. www.eia.gov/todayinenerg...

We don't get a ton of snow most winters, but this one has been exceptionally cold and snowy. They do use salt on the roads after storms to keep things passable
