If you haven't seen ONE BATTLE AFTER ANOTHER, rush to see it on Max--brilliant. "As a beleaguered antifascist remnant stares down a white-supremacist police state, a biracial child will lead them." From @newyorker.com review
Happy #internationalWomen'sDay
Thank you @democracyforward.org for suing Trump over trying to erase American history --I love LOWELL National PARKS and the Millgirls story is fundamental but Lowell History is being erased Videos about exploited 19th-century mill workers have been removed following Trumpβs executive order.

This is pretty interesting, a workshop on how to request banned books by @themarshallproject.org and @muckrock.com's Data Liberation Project

U.S. State Department notice for Americans to leave 13 Middle Eastern countries
Image of current flights in the air over the Middle East
The U.S. State Department issued a notice yesterday for Americans to evacuate more than a dozen Middle Eastern countries "via commercial means due to serious safety risks."
The catch?
Air space is closed. There are no flights leaving 10 of the 13 countries.
I don't care if Congress authorizes War on Iran. NO WAR ON IRAN. I want people to fucking reclaim their morality.
Just remember what this is all forβ¦. Distracting from the Epstein files
OCASIO-CORTEZ STATEMENT ON TRUMP'S COMBAT OPERATIONS IN IRAN "The American people are once again dragged into a war they did not want by a president who does not care about the long-term consequences of his actions. This war is unlawful. It is unnecessary. And it will be catastrophic. "Just this week, Iran and the United States were negotiating key measures that could have staved off war. The President walked away from these discussions and chose war instead.President Trump flippantly acknowledged the possibility of American casualties, stating "that often happens in war.' "Mr. President: this was not an inevitability. This is a deliberate choice of aggression when diplomacy and security were within reach. Stop lying to the American people. "Violence begets violence. We learned this lesson in Iraq. We learned this lesson in Afghanistan. And we are about to learn it again in Iran. Bombs have yet to create enduring democracies in the region and this will be no different. "In moments of war, our Constitution is unambiguous: Congress authorizes war. The President does not. I will do my part to uphold our Constitution by voting YES on Representatives Ro Khanna and Thomas Massie's War Powers Resolution. Every member of Congress must join us in rejecting this aimless war.

Pass this on to any incarcerated writers you know. A wonderful opportunity at @truthout.org
American sympathy shifted away from Israel and in favor of the Palestinians, with the lines crossing for the first time ever.
Noteworthy that support for Israel declined in both 2023 (Oct. 7) and 2024 (Gaza) but the biggest drop came this year (Trump effect?) and it started in 2020-21, not 2023-24.

GREAT NEWS
"Plans for proposed ICE facility in Merrimack, N.H., wonβt move forward, governor says." SHE HAS BEEN HORRIBLE but the resistance turned her around!
I love these #Minneapolis strengeth stories. So inspiring.
"People across the Minneapolis-St. Paul Metro exercising exemplary strength, organization and non-violent resistance, not just against the federal occupation, but primarily in service to the safety and survival of one another."
Good. But let's not depend on people to abandon the idiot. We must protest/organize/defend others like our lives depended on it. #Minneapolis

Parole is so little understood and paid attention to that misinformation is rampant.
