The thing that’s so frustrating isn’t really that we don’t learn from history it’s that we somehow learn the exact opposite thing from history and then go on television and say it with the confidence of someone who has been wrong about things for several decades without being corrected

Would really appreciate it if a greater percentage of people liking and replying in agreement to this take (which is correct) were still masking, getting boosted, and otherwise engaging in any level of covid mitigation. The virus is very much still around and still causing harm.
