At the moment, it's looking like the story would be best wrapped up in only four acts, with the fourth one being slightly longer than the rest. Sorry if this is a disappointment! The estimation of five acts was from a much earlier point in development/planning

I'm nearly done animating the sketch draft of the 2nd Scratchin' Melodii boss. I'll probs be doing its line art/color soon. The framework for implementing stages in-engine is p much solid now, so there'll be less for me to devlog on for a while as I focus on animating stage MVs. Hope you understand!

I would post a little bit more non-game-dev related on this site but it's always so calm here that I feel like I'd be disturbing the peace. On the other hand, perhaps I should enjoy the luxury of there being less people to worry about while I still can..

This isn't set in stone ofc, but I may end up deciding you have to clear the stage normally first before achieving Lucid. If not though, the following cutscene will probably just have slight dialogue differences, if any. Branching story paths could quickly go beyond scope, so I gotta be careful!

I hope not to freak anyone out by chiming in! The scoring systems from the demos are from earlier points in dev when I was still heavily experimenting with it. The one I've landed on to use in final is much more balanced and more accurate to the game's inspirations. Sorry to hear you had a bad time!
