We had a great 1st day of the Sprout Human-Centered Design Challenge alongside our good friends at the WATCH Coalition! We've already learned so much about how to center the experiences of those we serve in designing programs, and we're excited to bring this knowledge back to our beloved community!

Together with @climateactionri.org and a few other local groups, we're part of the No Pipeline Expansion Northeast coalition, doing the important work of opposing expansion of fracked gas infrastructure in our communities. Some of this expansion is proposed right here in Northern RI.

Yesterday, we and Engage NS cooked hot, healthy food for nearly 100 neighbors. We served dozens of meals on-site at Milagros Project, and sent 50+ more to partners around the city to get them to folks who needed them. Thank you to everyone who gave money and time to support. You are the movement!

The org I work with, @rebuildwoonmovemnt.bsky.social, is partnering with Engage NS to show up again for The Milagros Project, an awesome Woony mutual aid org. Next Saturday, we're preparing hot meals to feed 50-100 neighbors, a big effort that'll cost $150-$300. Can you contribute to help us out?

We were so proud to see a youth #IceOut protest in Woonsocket today. We stand with every immigrant neighbor being victimized by ICE violence, with everyone working around the clock to protect them, and with everyone who took part in the shutdown today. Nobody's free until everybody's free!

On Monday, a judge struck down Trump's unlawful freeze on offshore wind action. This is a major win for affordable, reliable offshore wind electricity, which is a necessary part of our just energy transition and will protect our communities from fossil fuel price spikes #OffshoreWind #YesToWind
We appreciate that Mayor Beauchamp's Admin, particularly Director Morisseau, are being more compassionate, recognizing homeless folks as fellow community members, struggling with a difficult situation that could happen to any of us. We need #HousingforAll! 2/2

This is really disappointing to read. As the temperatures plumet, our city council should be more concerned with making sure there's enough shelter space (something they could have done this Spring) than with making the police harass our unhoused neighbors. 1/2
