I’m rewatching Utopia with my son (his first time) and it remains genuinely exceptional tv. All killer and no filler with such great writing, characters, music and plot. It really could be my top tv show of all time. I get goosebumps just watching it even when I know what’s coming.
Hope you enjoy it. Rather brutal in tone and language but with the amount of horror I believe you watch hopefully you’ll be ok!
Try Dark again but start afresh! Also know what you mean about s’sheet! Utopia (uk not US) may be tricky to get hold of but Ch4 app may have it. It’s very dark in tone and humour but you’ll know after one ep if it’s for you. 1899 was great but cut down in its prime (shakes fist as Netflix!)

Excellent stuff! I’ve got a few suggestions (apologies if you’ve seen either before but even if you have they’re worth a rewatch). Dark or Utopia. Alternatively I can highly recommend Utopia or Dark. Actually there’s another one, what was it now? Oh yes. Dark. And can’t forget Utopia! Or Leftovers.
Yes it’s awful. We live in a society where failure is often rewarded more than adequacy or success. Rather sickens me to be frank.
An example of much of what is wrong with the world / society. Sacked for gross misconduct (and potentially worse) and given a £75K payoff. But that’s ok as he wanted £500k plus. Sheesh! I’d take the occasional sacking if I was gonna be paid that!

Well that was several parts bonkers and several parts great! If you’ve not seen #Bugonia I recommend you rectify that omission asap. Great cast and I’ll say no more. Plemons should be considered a US national treasure. I’ve loved him since I first came across him in Breaking Bad.

Having finished The Leftovers with my son we’re moving on to Uk version (obviously) of Utopia. I absolutely adore this show and he’s enjoying it too. Exceptionally dark, very funny, timely, thrilling and utterly terrifying. More people need to know about it!
Delighted to say the first 2 games of #Sagrada went down a treat. Nice to have a bit more variety. However two games of Azul straight after Sagrada required a little altering of the scoring mindset! #boardgames
The Leftovers. A very slow burn of a tv series but so worth it in the end. Justin Theroux is excellent as is the rest of the cast. That series was a little bit special. If you’re comfortable with slow pace and using your brain on occasion it’s a cracker.
Cheers. Really looking forward to it and hope it lives up to its reputation for us. We adore Azul and can’t stop playing it. A little bit of grief ensues with Azul but my understanding is with Sagrada you have even less chance to directly nobble opponents so that will work well for us.

I find this quite surprising. I’m agnostic platform wise and the 360 was one of my fave consoles but thought MS got such a pasting this gen that we’d never see another Xbox. Always intrigued though as competition is always welcome. Launch game - Crackdown remaster. I’m in! 😂 Skills for kills agent.
Not 100% sure this is mine but it’s the first one that came to mind seeing the main post. Funny, intriguing, great production design and a wonderful cast and barely a bad bone in its body so ticks all the boxes for a comfort film in my book.
I very excited! We love playing Azul and Patchwork in the household and think my new purchase will be right up our gully! Welcome #Sagrada (refresh edition). Terribly exciting stuff! 😀 #boardgames
Remember seeing this one at the cinema and REALLY disliking it. Can’t recall it very well but think it was due to the characters. Saying that I realise now I could be thinking of My Little Eye actually. Hmm! No desire to watch / revisit either but always interesting to be reminded!

Just watched the new I Know What You Did Last Summer. Wow. That’s 100 minutes of my life I won’t be getting back. Why didn’t I just go to bed earlier and sleep longer. Would have been a much more productive use of my time. Woeful. 4 🪝/ 10.
Southern Comfort / Deliverance = excellent double bill! Throw in Wrong Turn (accepting it’s not in the same league) and you’ve got yourself a hot trio of woodland / wilds carnage.
Sequel out in next couple of months. V excited by that!
