Gorgeous views, happy Friday.
Photo shows a vivid low purple Hyacinth bloom, a tall bright yellow Daffodil bloom, a plul coloured Heuchera plant in a shady garden area.
Flowers appearing in every corner of the garden, love this time of year. This shady area is where Bees sleep over winter. Once my bulbs are in during autumn I don't touch it again until summer, and sometimes I hear buzzing and feel the ground vibration as they wake... ๐
Photo shows a shrub with many stems of small bright scarlet flowers. Beneath this shrub is a large number of bright green Euphorbia plants that go down to dark green leaves.
Japanese Quince, a splash of spring scarlet. The Euphorbia beneath wasn't planted there, it wandered in from a neighbour, but I quite like the vivid green of that against the red.
Photo shows a Forsythia bush, the many small yellow petals appear lit up by the sunshine.
Plant sunshine, Forsythia in bloom. An indicator that spring is here and also that it's time to prune your Roses (except the ramblers).
They are great, I can imagine myself there. Bring on some more sunshine so we can get out more!
Beautiful, I love a good waterfall.
Beautiful, spring is definitely here. Have a great weekend.
Thank you, I love this one and buds are appearing on others so I hope I'm getting there in keeping them going.
Photo shows light yellow Orchid flowers with an orange centre.
The joy of a favourite Orchid flowering once again. Used to have terrible trouble getting them to bloom more than once but have now found a window that seems to give the right light, so all the dormant ones live on a storage box there now until buds appear.
Two tiny green leaves next to a grey dead looking plant.
Never give up...tiny signs of life appearing from an African Violet plant I thought had gone weeks ago but kept looking after just in case...
Thank you, happy Friday!
Photo shows a Blackthorn tree covered in white blossom
How beautiful to be out under a blue sky today...finally... this Blackthorn was full of Bees and also had two Butterfly visitors spring is arriving...
Beautiful, love Snowdrops. Have a great week.
Hi there, happy Friday, let's all do a sun dance this weekend!
Amazing views, happy new week.
Photos show trees and hedgerows against grey skies, teasels with light behind them, Catkins hanging, and a shaft of light hitting green grass
The weather is endlessly grey at the moment, but you can still find so much beauty if you get out for a walk.
3 photos. One shows a clump of purple Crocus buds. One shows a purple Iris, with deeper purple and white marking on it. One shows a little purple Violet among leaves.
Winter purples...๐
Lovely, thank you, have a great weekend. Hopefully some of it will be dry!
Morning, happy Monday ๐
They are great plants.
Photos show two patches of Cyclamen Coum, small bright pink to light pink flowers on a reddish stem, the leaves have a range of patterns.
One of my fave plants Cyclamen Coum. Patches of pink or white bloom in January just when you need a splash of colour and cheering up. Left alone they will spread, no work needed. It's hardy & shade tolerant. Most importantly it's an early source of nectar for pollinators. Pics from today.
Photo shows a patch of Snowdrops in bloom, there are two yellow crocuses beneath them in bud.
Snowdrops and Crocuses brightening up the garden.
Happy Friday ๐
Photo shows a Bee sitting on a purple crocus flower.
Winter feels very loooong, but soon the garden will be buzzing again.
Thank you ๐

That's my @rspb.bsky.social Big Garden Birdwatch completed for another year. A brilliant UK citizen science project surveying birds in your garden for 1 hour each year. Most of my regulars turned up, a few missing. Over 4 million birds already counted this weekend, time to log in and add my results.
Love it.
