The battlefield has changed.
But, regardless of what he does if he is indeed to make a return, one thing is clear - it will not be without consequences.
It's just a matter of what they will be and for who.

While we may remember him as one of the slightly more capable Russian Officers at the start of this war, mainly for the ''Surovikin line'' and the first real use of massed missile strikes deep into Ukraine - a lot of time has passed since then.
22/
In other news, I also feel it's important to at least mention the possible return of Surovikin.
Taking into account currently available information - it seems he may have returned to Putin's favor and may, in fact, return to the theater.
21/
I cannot wait to see how the current US administration will claim credit for Ukrainian actions/technologies and throw them under the proverbial bus after the fact..
20/
Regarding the political side of things - now even the US requests help from Ukraine in countering Iranian strike UAVs.
Ukraine, for its part, appears to have agreed to provide it.
19/
Though the attack as Sosnove is rather limited, taking into account the area that is already flooded and is projected to flood.
If the Russians fail to use this opportunity they have created for themselves, well, that's a good thing and fully on them.
18/
This, of course, causes supply issues for Ukrainian forces in the area so it is logical to assume the Russians will attempt to make use of this and, indeed, may already be doing so.
17/
Along the Svyatohirsk-Oskil axis there is heavy flooding after the Russians hit a dam at Oskil a little while ago.
In effect, everything up to the Oleksandrivka-Yatskivka axis is projected to flood and/or already is flooded.
16/
Usual caveat that this includes stuff I missed in the previous few reports.
Regarding tactical changes it is important to note the Russian force activations on the Belgorod front and the actions along the Svyatohirsk-Oskil axis.
