Genuinely excited for the future of West and North West London with the regeneration around the Old Oak area. Great to also have assurances from @sadiqkhanlondon.bsky.social that infrastructure around the development zone such as Willesden Junction station are also being considered for investment.
An incredible evening alongside my @cityhalllabour.bsky.social colleagues James Small-Edwards and @bassammahfouz.bsky.social at the West London Business Awards hosted by Shappi Khorsandi with an amazing choir performance from Gladstone Park Primary School.

Police have confirmed that a 13 year old boy has been arrested on suspicion of attempted murder.
Deeply shocked by the stabbings on Bacon Lane in Kingsbury. Thoughts are with those impacted & their friends & families. I am in close contact with the Metropolitan Police as they work to find the suspect who has been identified. Significant resources are in Brent to reassure the community.
A lovely community reach out event by the Reggae tree in Harlesden on the birthday of Bob Marley.
I welcome the expansion of the world-leading London Cancer Hub, which will further cement London as a global leader in health and innovation and create meaningful jobs and investment for Londoners.
What a fantastic turnout in Brondesbury Park ward today on the #labourdoorstep today with the Brent Labour team ๐น
Wet, muddy, tired but worth it. ๐ง๏ธ๐ฅต

In Parliament for a reception hosted and organised by Body and Soul - a charity working to end suicide with love.
Particularly heartening to hear from their founder and CEO Emma Colyer MBE about their You Are Not Alone (YANA) programme which works with young people who have attempted suicide. โค๏ธ
Fantastic to visit the McVities biscuits factory. A vibrant part of the Brent community since 1902. ๐ช๐ญ
It was great to speak to workers, many of whom live locally, and learn more about how these iconic biscuits are made.
I even got to try some warm digestives straight out of the oven!
Great response out on the #labourdoorstep with the Wembley Hill Labour team
An honour to attend the LCK Academy graduation in Brent, celebrating locals who have earned life-changing qualifications in hospitality.
Seeing the graduates' pride and ambition is a powerful testament to how local pathways can empower our community and transform lives. ๐โจ
I'll always champion for more resources for our area and ensure Brent and Harrow gets the best out of City Hall for all our communities. ๐ฎ๐ฝ
Great to see that neighbourhood police numbers in Brent and Harrow have increased by over 12% since I came into office. Abstractions this year are also significantly down meaning that police officers are now spending more time in the local neighborhoods that they should be serving in.
A proud moment for our community and volunteers to welcome @krupesh.co.uk at our centre. Understanding the challenges that people face is vital.
Thank you for your support, kindness &compassion, for connecting with the multinational constituents. It has been an honour to have you @rcct.bsky.social.
A moving Holocaust Memorial Day event this evening at the Harrow Arts Centre. This year's theme Bridging Generations is a useful reminder to ensure that we work across different age groups collaboratively and that lessons of the past are passed on to future generations. #HMD2026
An incredible evening at the Guildhall for the High Commission of India's 77th Republic Day of India celebrations ๐ฎ๐ณ
An incredible evening with Hindu Council Brent celebrating India Republic Day.
Some amazing performances telling the story of India and it's many states ๐ฎ๐ณ
It was also great to see the first Parliamentarian from the Jain Community Baroness Shama Shah of Wembley there as well.
Delighted to join Oshwal for their North West London area's 50th anniversary of their Gujarati School. Great to see them still going strong and passing on positive values and continuing to teach Gujarati to 3rd and 4th generations in the community.
Deeply moved by the Holocaust Memorial Day service at City Hall today. Hearing the firsthand testimonies of survivors was a powerful reminder of why we must never forget. Their courage in sharing such painful history to ensure it never repeats is truly humbling. ๐ฏ๏ธ #HolocaustMemorialDay #HMD2026
I raised this matter at Mayor's Question Time recently and the Mayor @sadiqkhanlondon.bsky.social also confirmed that the 60+ Oyster concession would also still remain in place and that there were no plans to make any changes.
Following reports that the Freedom Pass was going to be reviewed, I'm glad that Labour leaders of Councils have stepped up to block any potential changes to this vital concession.
