I’ve had this thought too! I found out that there’s a ferry from Treasure Island that seemed easy to access from Yerba buena. Perhaps one day I’ll meet someone who actually lives there.

In the same boat! There are alternatives like SyncThing that I’ve been meaning to try. Rclone recently added iCloud support so maybe that could be an option (no Advanced Data Protection support though).
On the other hand, I might as well support Obsidian because they’re awesome and pay for Sync.
