For this administration, it’s not about doing good, it’s about looking good...even when American lives are on the line.
Ossoff: "The president appears increasingly to have lost touch with reality. That is deeply concerning when you have a a cabinet much more concerned with winning his favor than giving good advice & the nation now plunged into war. It speaks to the necessity of winning these midterms in a landslide."
The president is handing out oversized clown shoes to his cabinet — and watching to see who refuses to wear them.
It's Solzhenitsyn's Stalin story come to life: the first person to stop applauding ended up in the gulag. The lesson then, as now — never be the first to stop clapping.
If his brain were mush it would be an improvement
I don’t think unconditional surrender is imminent.
It is not a question of polls. It is not a question of politics. It is a question of morality and legality and constitutional obligation. Every member of the Congress of the United States takes an oath of office to uphold the laws and Constitution of the United States of America.
My cat sleeps all day and then keeps me awake all night so this gave me a good laugh.

The fragile insecure flower is crying again.
We literally killed Iran’s leader
Showing Up for Racial Justice @surj.org · 6h BREAKING: We are proud to endorse anti-racist, pro-working class candidate Graham Platner for Maine Senate in the June 9 Democratic primary and an image of surj endorses graham platner with a picture of this mediocre privileged white dude with his cleaned up grizzly adams haircut and beard.
Showing Up for Racial Justice @surj.org Follow Graham embodies the kind of change we believe is needed among millions of white people in this country: a shift away from militarism and racism and toward multiracial working-class solidarity that explicitly rejects racism.
I have way too many mutuals with this group.
These are not our allies. This is cosplay allyship.
No one who has a Nazi tattoo, says racist shit about Black folks, homophobic shit about gay folks, and blames women for rape is ANY kind of ally, especially when they make excuses for what they do.
Seems like agentic AI is the Tesla self-driving mode of bots and we should probably turn it off.
Speaking honestly about what? He’s just babbling!
palantir as a tool of *american* power & war & lawlessness, perfectly captured by . . . palantir's ceo.
And what is that policy? Did he say? Does he have a clue?
oh fuck off
Elizabeth Warren: "I am a hard no on a supplemental. This is not a war the American people want us to engage in. This is not a war that makes us safer ... No. No more money. The only thing Congress has the power to do is to stop actions like this through the power of the purse."
This interview with the great @rebeccasolnit.bsky.social was a "wow" moment for me. Thanks, New York Times and David Marchese.

I couldn't help noticing the question that seemed the most Times-like to me.

Black Sunday (1960) aka The Mask of Satan
Okay I am back on the Bava train. The first Italian horror film, opening the floodgates of an iconic era of film history
Black Sunday has Barbara Steele as a dual role of the witch and the victim, as well as zombies and vampiric rites. Let's go!
"Miscalculated?" They screwed up royally.
That's what happens when the idiot president hires an idiot Cabinet.
It would be nice to deport him & his family since he has done it to so many people including people who have been born in this country.
This disgusting shit doesn’t belong in American society.
And Republicans who support it don’t belong in Congress.
It's so bad that we've reached a point where members of Congress casually discuss stripping citizenship from and deporting people because they don't like their views.
One day the NYT's editors will read these stories again and be ashamed of themselves. Mamdani called the attack "heinous," "criminal," "reprehensible," "terrorism," and "the antithesis of who we are." The insinuation that he's conflicted about this is disgraceful. www.nytimes.com/2026/03/09/n...
If you’re roughly my age, it’s wild to reflect on the optimism for the future Americans felt when Obama was elected — young Americans spontaneously took to the streets to celebrate! — and contrast with what we face today. The falloff over the past 18 years is hard to process.
Chris Murphy: "I think it's likely the United States that carried out this attack on this school. I think it's unforgivable under any circumstances, but the fact this was one of our first targeting decisions speaks to the incompetence of our leadership at the Dept of Defense."
But his hair, Michael Steele, his hair!
This is just awful
This guy is such a lightweight
