I have plenty of friends that are interested in my other hobbies (been drawing for a couple close friends a lot lately, and I get asked constantly about the process of making my fursuit head) but most of them aren't that into game dev work, haha

LRP has been churning in my head since I watched it earlier today... I think I've been missing having communities and friend groups that I can yap about my game projects with. Need to get back into some of those.

Also it's thankfully not the majority but it's getting concerning how many dev roles put "uses ai tooling" in their job requirements now

Imagine a job post in construction where a requirement was being able to manage a group of toddlers with hardhats and hammers on-site

I really need to stop letting myself doomscroll the linkedin feed when I'm trying to put in job applications

It's fascinating as a case study in ai hysteria but it's absolutely rotting my brain away to even observe that shit

like this all boils down to "we forced our employees to use copilot"
