INCREDIBLE
My pleasure!
I'm also the current proofreader and/or copyeditor for all of IDW's Godzilla comics, which include the new Kai-Sei Era lineup the RPG ties into as well as titles like Godzilla's Monsterpiece Theatre, TMNT x Godzilla, and Mothra: Queen of the Monsters, to name just a few.
I don't post all that often about what I'm working on, but in addition to a whole lot of comic series and graphic novels, one of my big ongoing projects for IDW has been copyediting this—the new official Godzilla TTRPG!
I know it’s difficult right now, but I insist that you seek and enjoy beautiful things, even if it seems frivolous or irresponsible in the face of overwhelming horror. I want you to feed yourself artistically, spiritually, and literally, because you can’t Do The Work when you’re starving.
Chicago follows that cap style as of the current edition too
I'm a little rusty on AP style, but I think they keep the cap on titles even in constructions like "former President So-and-So," which I expect would extend to "ex"
Also overnight, someone totally destroyed the memorial outside my Whittier apartment building where there's been a vigil every night since Alex Pretti was killed. Ours was so tiny that it's probably unrelated… but if so, it's a hell of a coincidence.
From professional workshops and conferences to fan conventions and grown-up book fairs, we have the 2026 events for Minnesota book geeks to put on their calendars. #TwinCitiesGeeks twincitiesgeek.com/2026/02/minn...

RIP 💀
I just got mine on my upper back!
(pictured here, but not the one in the preview: twincitiesgeek.com/2026/02/tatt...)
I wrote about how getting my first tattoo was unexpectedly helpful in dealing with the ICE occupation and how Minnesota tattoo shops are acting as sites of self-care, mutual aid, and ways to just say “Fuck ICE.”

I feel so validated
A sign on a utility pole reading "Don't reject your eyes & ears"
Wall of stickers, posters, and graffiti reading, among other things, "No ICE: Stop kidnapping, murdering detaining."

I can't believe it's only been a week.
I'd love it!
Holy shit you weren't kidding
You know, this is a horrible way to meet my neighbors.
My neighbors are amazing. My neighbors protect their own.
My neighborhood is in the news for a horrible reason. But at the protests and vigils today, I saw humanity at its best.
People constantly distributing hand warmers in the subzero temps. People opening their homes and businesses. People setting out tables with supplies. People caring for each other.
I should also be clear—today is when the killing came here, but it's far from ICE's first visit. Just days ago, they were gassing people blocks away from this intersection. And they will just keep escalating.

Together we call for #ICEOutNow.

Today it came to my neighborhood. ICE killed Alex Pretti in a spot I've walked through hundreds of times in the 12+ years I've lived in Whittier.
Every day since this occupation started, there's been a new horror. It won't stop until we get them out.
Yes, it was cold. #ICEOutMN #ICEOut

Thanks, Sydnee!
If you’re outside MN and want to help, there are a lot of great nonprofits that could use your support, like the Immigrant Law Center of Minnesota. And call your reps—tell them not to fund ICE and to hold officials and agents accountable for violating constitutional and human rights.
(5/5)
We are calling for an end to the occupation, for federal agents to be held accountable for their actions, and for Congress to immediately intervene. And when you see all of us marching out there, keep in mind that the warmest it’s expected to get today is about −10°F (before windchill).
(4/5)
Protesters, observers, journalists, and unsuspecting bystanders have been physically attacked, gassed, and held without charge.
This is not a targeted operation to hunt down dangerous criminals. ICE agents are the ones committing crimes and violating our constitutional rights.
