Starting All Quiet on the Western Front (1930) and lmao it feels decades ahead of Wings and Broadway Melody. A fucking seismic gulf of 'We're starting to take this seriously'

I can't take credit for this. Credit for accurately picking out girls that are oomf goes to @zachkoromaru.bsky.social

Just wait til you hit S2
Bless the open world simp...
I keep seeing folks say they'll just accept a Teen Friendly account on Discord rather than scan or ID and I don't know if I wanna mass normalize leaving NSFW pals out in the cold yet again. Especially with all the censorship stuff goin on I think we gotta stand with the freaks now more than ever.
Revisiting 2 and 3, both of them have a moment that made me gasp and say 'You could do that? On the PS2?' twenty years later. Shibata has a true cinematic vision and a penchant for conveying sophisticated ideas through smart direction that was years ahead of its time.
That would be the hardest one to remake both because it's the most ambitious game but also because it's the most compromised by budget/time constraints and the general mechanical grammar of the period.
It's the one for the sickos. I'm not surprised it's May's favourite.
Hearing the big little one's performance feels like you are personally discovering a generational talent, so I get it
My money is on the big little one

There's also the good sisters
I spent quite a while thinking Marin would just be an otaku wish fulfilment fantasy and I'm very glad I was wrong
Though I do think the first game can stand on its own feet, it's more like a proof of concept. They built the game around a singular mechanical vision but didn't really flesh it out beyond that.
In 2026, it'd feel very basic if you remade it as is and somewhat diluted if you added to it.
I'm not sure they'd remake 1. That would be... an interesting thing to see.
Well... the good news is the tl on Ryza 3 apparently sucks and the DX version's tl is much improved. So maybe you made the right choice by stalling out until now.
I did in fact play the Vita version of Totori almost to completion but then I found out I made a single mistake ten hours previous that locked me out of the Mimi ending, and lost motivation
Committed to finally finishing an Atelier in 2026.
I've started six of these fuckers, including this one, and I WILL finish one.
There are a bunch of very immediate changes to progression that I feel are kind a value neutral right now without really knowing how the game is designed around them.
I started the Fatal Frame 2 Remake last night. I didn't have the best impression of the first chapter from the demo, but the game is completely different once you get outside to the village proper. Minakami Village is utterly gorgeous and feels great to move around in.
GenAI has polluted image search results, especially for animal pics. Itβs now basically impossible to find accurate art references.
Enter this: a repository of open-access, AI-free images of wild & exotic taxa. Artists creating *without AI* have blanket permission for derivative/transformative use.
deeply saddened to learn there is not a third act to this story
This is good to see.
I will continue to note that:
1) The CEO says they're still using GenAI internally.
2) Many developers are continuing to use GenAI tools, but more so in a less visible way (coding assistant, UGC tools, marketing). For some developers, especially in Asia, it's more overt.
For the prestige banner characters, Dain and the three non-Paimon shades would make sense, but what about the locales...? Is there enough Celestia for three years of content? lol
Pumpkin. Dog goes mad if we say Biscuit in a pet voice
Cheers to everyone who's picked up a copy from the Ireland Steam Event! Axyz is currently 40% for all your dreamy Kula World-esque needs.
Today's big repost thread (almost tempted to call them repostslop) is from someone who actually has a sense of humour, which is a nice change of pace
