2/ CRISIS ONE: Trump believed Iran would not close the Strait of Hormuz. He was wrong. And now oil prices are spiking.
If the Strait stays closed, a global recession will result. It actually may already be too late. Gas prices are the first to spike, but food prices are next.

I can’t tell if Israel thinks its special privilege with the USA is eternal and the current grumbling by the American electorate is a passing fad or if it’s convinced the relationship is doomed no matter what and is basically buying everything in a going out of business sale while it can.

Could people just be normal about American Jews for like, 10 minutes? Ever? It's bad to attack synagogues, it's extra-bad to do it b/c you're mad at Israel, the Israeli government may suck even more than Trump 2, and none of this is the fault of your average American Jew. That's it.
Every now and then, it's worth reminding yourself that every single crisis of Trump 2.0 -- the economic downturn, the chaos in our cities, the rising health crisis, the foreign wars -- has been a direct result of their own actions.
